I cant believe its been three years, been checking is to see if I missed anything just hoping you put up another vid. I know you have had thing going on in your life, not to mention how youtube treats small channels. But all that aside, you are one of the biggest influences that I had when I first started getting into blacksmithing. Im not half as good as you are, but just the way you are able to inspire someone to try new things or a different way to look at a problem for a solution is better than most. Im just starting to come out of some hard times in my life, as I have been hoping you are also. I know it is a long shot that you read a comment on a vid that is this old. But it is still worth typing. And I hope one day you might put out more content. Even if its just a short that is like “ Hey look what I just made” , or “ I just learned a new way to do … “ Even a forge side chat. I do miss them. If by some chance you even read this ( I hope you do) just know that at least some of us still think of you and hope for your return someday.

I had been going through a really difficult time between jobs, a decline of a long term relationship and the stresses of life, and witnessing your determination to push through and make the best of the hand you were dealt has helped me cope with my life. Chandler, welcome back - idea - if you wrap some copper pipe round the stack and then run it round to a second coil at the other end of the shop. Pump water through it , insulate the runs between the two coils, and that will give you a mini radiator at the other end. It will recover some of the heat lost up the stack and might just keep the frost at bay👍🧐🤓

Your videos are always intriguing and/or entertaining. I believe its because you are teaching yourself as you are showing us. You've got great metalurgical instincts and a background in engineering so you do a good job of learning through trial and error and your not afraid to show the ugly stuff. Some people want a pefect pretty final video but you show everything, knuckle cuts failures and all. I love your relentlessly up-beat attitude too. Makes for great content, keep it up man 🙇

Awesome to hear from you Chandler! If you'd like an idea for forging I'd love to see an updated herb chopper or new carving knife or something! Mr. Chandler, do what you've got to do. We're here for you, you make it we're going to watch it. Your one of my top go to teachers and I value your videos. Maybe if you install some radiant fins on your exhaust or a heat chamber like from a grease drum or 55 gal drum in the exhaust system. Anything that gets hot will radiate to one extent or another. Lol you got snow so you could do steam heat...that would be a project n a half. But hey whenever you wanna put it out there we don't miss it. Blessings upon yall, Crawford out

I do appreciate a good weapon forging, I cannot deny. That being said, that project you made with the metal quill and parchment was one of the coolest things ever. The tree railings were neat as hell. I'm here for more than just the stabbity bits, I'm here to appreciate the art in anything and everything you turn out. Keep swinging, my dude.

Hey man! Glad you're still kicking, and doing OK. Yeah, it's a tough time of year for most businesses. Right now we are ramping up on making a lot of camping gear. Tent stakes, steak flippers, tripods, rotisseries, etc.. Nice design on that coal heater tho, that looks pretty well thought out. Best wishes to you for getting the shop cleaned up, and organized. It's a hard task for any place. They just get messy so easily, and quickly. I hope the sign works out well for you, it's pretty dang good looking. Stay warm, and keep at it man. 👍

We don't have any coal locally. We did have a coal mine about 3 miles down the road and I vaguely remember my grandfather buying coal there to heat his house. There is one other coal mine about 1/2 mile from my house but they run out of coal long ago. My dad's pond at his house was supposedly dug to provide coal for the former owner. I have thought about seeing if I could strip mine my own couple of ton of coal on my place. I know the 40 acres north of me was drilled one time to see if there was coal, but there was not any and it was adjoining the one coal mine.

Good to see you back at it my friend. I appreciate your desire to put out new material. But I ask you if you value hard work and practice why don't you share that. Some of the things I enjoyed most about your channel is the willingness to share failures and successes. But if you truly want to share your progress in the art share that to. What tricks are you learning to make letters, what have you found that helps reduce material use and cost. Sorry this got long. Just know art is amazing but the lessons you have learned because if your studious approach to the craft is what I think makes you different
