Thank you so much for this ma'am. Mein bohot saari videos dekha issi topic pe, lekin aap sab se important baat bataye iska: identify the scale. Kyu ki Sa identify karna sab se important hai. Ekbar scale ko identify kar liya to baaki notes identify karna kaafi easy ho jata hai. Warna, notes to kuchh identify karke baith ta hu mere scale pe (natural C scale) se and baad me pata chalta hai ki wo notes bajau to tune to sahi niklega lekin actually me notes galat hai kyu ki gana ka scale alag tha! And issi liye notes bhi ajeeb dikhta hai agar galat scale k anusar notation fix karne jaau to! Once again thank you so much sab se important fundamental concept batane ke liye 🙏

Nice video. I like your approach which I think is a very good way for beginners to learn, but just adding on to this, to find the true notes of a song one really needs to learn playing an instrument. For instance I think in Shayad, chords like C#add9, Bbmin7th have been used which have different notes than regular triads. Also, some songs may not be played in a scale, they may be played in modes. So, very important to learn an instrument.

Chnadrani: Yes, useful tutorial. Tumhare Sur kitne crisp hai. Perhaps, ur classically trained, hence. Yes, scale ko pakadna patha hai, and trial and error method with the uthar chadau of the song. Sur gyan the apt term! :)

Scale of this song is F minor....if song is start from major chord doest mean the song is major...Although F minor and G#(Which is basically Ab in western music concept called circle of Fifth) are relative....but song is minor........happy learning

Mam, there are some songs where there is mixture of scale, like notes from major and minor, and doesn't belong to any particular Thaat, like for example, there is a marathi song, 'Khel Mandala'. I struggled to find sa of this song. I can find the distance between the notes and play correctly, but couldn't find the exact sa. Iss song me, M, M tevr, Dh, Dh komal, kafi achese lag rahe hai. To aise songs me muze notes me exact dostance to pata hai, but un notes me Sa konsa hai, ye nahi pata chalta. Help.
