Thank you sooooo much guys for helping me decide, which color to get..even though I chose opposite! LOL! I feel like I wanted to get something other that my typical black bags. I purchased this from Fashiophile and adore the color and bag! There are some scratches, which I was aware of. :) But I'm still contemplating whether to keep this. Miss BlueMaude Hi hon!!!! I love silver! I saw the Chanel Vanity in silver on Fashionphile (I know that’s on your wishlist 🤗) ... I almost wanted to get it, but it’s soo pricey! I usually like near perfect items, but this bag for some reason really spoke to me And it was nearly $1000 of retail! I feel I will get this bag scratched eventually, so with such a good deal .. Hey Tabby!! I never adjust the straps on my bags (like the boy for example) but I did move the notch down so it’s on the longest setting and it helps to make it a tad longer if you double strap/cross body wear it. Didn’t make a mark on the leather and it prevents the end of the tab from sticking out so much. I’m not familiar with metallics in general but I know the distressed leather takes a beating and doesn’t show marks from hitting the bag on things. If you love it that’s all that matters! I almost bought silver before my black bag. Silver is so pretty in person! Congrats!

loved the video! & love the sweater you're wearing. i already have 2 silver bags but if i didn't i'd love to have the gabrielle in this silver - personally, i think the scratches make the bag look super chic and 'worn in' in the best possible way (some bags i want to look pristine from start to finish even 10 years down the line, while others i love the distressed worn in look) - i read the comments below and saw you took it back - you did the right thing because you followed your gut - but in the future if you choose the white and black, and if the scratches don't bother you - try finding one for an insane price (because of the scratches - you are right that it wasn't right to spend the $ you did with it's condition ) xo

Its one of my favorite bags and I've done couple of reviews for it. Silver is gorgeous! Metallics are harder to maintain than a regular leather though. If you got a good deal id say - keep it and get another one later!

I really like it on you!!! It’s such a fresh pop of ...(I can’t say colour now can I? 😂) It’s really pretty! I think the silver one is somewhat more versatile that the black and white one...just my opinion. I don’t know how much you payed for it, but in a way the scratches shouldn’t matter since then you won’t be as stressed to wear it. I feel that the slouchy leather and a few scratches give it an effortless “bad girl” vibe, if it makes any sense 😂 Also, the Gabrielle has a zipper, more practical than the peekaboo for when you’re on the go. gosh what a novel 😂😂 I say KEEP! And obviously follow your heart 😉😘😘❤️❤️

I adore the style in this color! I never thought I'd like a metallic bag but I love this in the silver. I'm pretty low maintenance, but those scratches on the smooth metallic part stand out to me. I'd be a bit worried what would happen if you got even more scratches :( Hard choice because it really looks great on you!

I love this bag. It's a nice departure from the standard black, black and white or beige color ways. It looks like it would be perfect for the warmer months as well. Everyone gets the same bags and sometimes it nice to be different. Also, the bag has a distressed look so the imperfections aren't really noticeable. Enjoy!

Hey hon!!! I returned the bag shortly after because the scratches bothered me too much. I also realized the medium is too big for me because the way it laid, it was too bulky and bumped into things. I do know that I want a small and silver (or maybe white and black combo)in the future! I ended up buying a fendi peekaboo instead! :) Hope that helps!

Hi! Your baby is sooooo cute! Such a pretty and versatile bag and I totally get why you love it so much. However, could you be talking yourself into it ($1000 off, you will scratch it yourself anyway, checking it in natural light,...)? In my case, I've found that whenever I have doubts about an expensive item at the outset but talk myself into it anyway, I never truly feel sure about that item. Once the return period expires, I feel stuck with it and then I end up selling it for a loss. Happened to me with the Jumbo (Too big on me? Too heavy? Too flashy for my lifestyle?)--in my heart the answer to all three was YES and I wish I had listened to myself! For such a pricey item, I would hold out for the one you feel 100 percent sure about. But if you decide to keep it, it's gorgeous. Just listen to that little voice. :-)

Not super wowed by this bag, I've got to be honest. Doesn't really look classically Chanel and it sits way too high up when used as a crossbody. I say return! Just giving my thoughts on it, but if you love it that's all that matters!

Jade L I think Chanel's intention was not to make this bag look like a "classic Chanel". I believed Chanel designed this with in mind that one would already own a classic flap, possibly a reissue and a boy bag. The design is meant to add variety and be an everyday bag that can go from the office, to running errands, chasing after little ones and leisure. I have a Gabrielle in the black medium and people always ask me how does it compare to a classic flap and I tell them you cannot compare them because they are separate styles and at totally different price points. I tell them if they are looking for classic than stick to classic flaps but if you want to add variety in your collection than this is a nice change. I've found that you either love it or hate it. Days when I want classic chanel I use my jumbo flap or boy bag and days when I want function and practicality I reach for Gabrielle. Hopes this makes sense lol. Love seeing everyone's opinion on the Gabrielle!

Keep GST , return the Gabrielle . I think the bottom of the bag flare out in every position as you carry that said the reason why bottom got so match scratched. Aside from that the bag looks grandma but the chain was the selling point of this bag but still chain is too heavy. I prefer the Gabrielle as a WOC or small size . That just my opinion. Thanks for sharing.

Newer version does not have the line in the center. But I think the CC logo hardware does not seem right...the thickness and gap seem to be off...maybe you can take a closer look at the laser identification card and the small tag inside the bag?
