Hi Wil! ❤️❤️❤️ you!!! First time listening to you… I own both brand of watches and only had experience with Cartier service (previously USED Saks in MI - exclusively)… My experience with the Cartier service (Highland Park, TX is GREAT. Only complaint is the lack of WARMTH AND ACCOMMODATIONS that the SALES PEOPLE treat the other customers (window shoppers vs real buyers)… FYI: if I was there for a REPAIR - don’t I deserve a glass of coffee or water too? They just lost a CUSTOMER!!! 😂😂😂

I have a broken black J12 with the reg diamond bezel sitting in my closet. I purchased it 2006 I believe and it broke 4yrs later the clasp just wouldn’t stay closed on one side. I took it to several watch shops nobody could fix it. Finally i took it to Chanel who told me it would be close to 1k to repair I said no thanks! I may or may not have glued the broken side of the clasp down so i could wear it from time to time lol

Lmao! Wait… wait… WAIT!!! There’s so much to unpack here! They quoted you $1K?!?! It sounds like you had the same one side clasp issue that I encountered. Was the quote for full service or just to repair the clasp? Not that either justifies the 1K price. Now I’m stressed all over again hearing your debacle lol. Ok now to the glue… I CANNOT DEAL! 😂🤣. We have to get this clasp fixed for you lol

I’ve always liked their timepieces as well. I remember when the J12 first came out around 2000 or 2001. Thank You. While I was living it, I didn’t think it was going to be a happy ending lol.

I'm so glad they waived that fee for you, that's the LEAST they could do after all of that. I would have been livid as well knowing that I'm the most impatient person to exist lol but I think you acted with assertion and tact. Happy this ended up being the outcome for you!

Great video and beautiful watch. I am going through a similar battle with LV over a repair to my Pochette Accessories that was dropped in Oct. 2021. I have been told so many stories, SAs from Client Services and the store have come and gone. My bag is somewhere in CA and there's no telling when I will get it back. The customer service and follow-up has been absolutely terrible 😑 🙄 😒 Hopefully this will be resolved soon before this 8wk repair turns a year old.

I had to read this comment several times to w sure I was reading it right. Are we talking 9 months ago?!?! This has my heart rate up lol. I can see how people drop the ball but not these “high-end” companies. At this point, I’m hoping that a new bag or upgraded bag is in your future. I pray that this issue doesn’t reach 1 year. @@WilMikahson oh yes, you read it right, Oct. 15th was the day I dropped off my beauty at the KOP store and it will never happen again. From what I'm told, Client Services has a better reputation for handing repairs but at this point, I really don't know. I have written emails, spent hours on the phone to no avail. I have had several bags repaired over the years and never had such an experience. I will certainly keep you posted as to the outcome.

This was a tumultuous experience, to say the least. However, the fee waived makes up for some of their delays. I will agree, they could have given you a better box and bag especially because of the long wait, which was supposed to be a few weeks turning into months! I'm glad you have it back fully repaired.

Hey Will I’m an avid watch collector too, I have had service on my Rolex, AP, Cartier, as well as Chanel. When I tell you with my Chanel it always takes 4-6 months, as well as do the others the problem is Chanel never quotes that window. I will say when I do pick up my watch the service completed is fantastic however they really need to review their time evaluations.

Wil, I would’ve been patiently aggravated as you were. I say this in theory because I’ve never purchased from Chanel and expect the absolute BEST, so I probably would have went off in my Hillary Banks preppy girl way. It would not have been nice. I’m glad you got it back!
