Your Boy is beautiful! Those marks, worn spots, etc., on our bags can be heartbreaking. But can't be helped, unless we didn't actually use our handbags. ChanelAddict15 Thank you and you are so welcome :) xx I don't actually own a classic (I used to have one a while back but it got dreadfully damaged by water and wasn't reparable, so I don't have that anymore), but if that ever changes, I will for sure compare and contrast. I do have another video I did about 1-2 months ago which unboxes and shows all the Chanel pieces in my collection (if you want more Chanel stuff!) My other Chanel bag is a little shopper tote, in an antique bronze/gold caviar - it's shown in that video I mention :) xxx

Someday Shabby Hey Shabby - I would be interested to hear actually if you have used any of those independent bag spa places....I was very tempted a few years ago with a Miu Miu bag I have, but I just don't trust anyone enough with my investments!! I would worry about getting a fake back, or nothing back at all! I popped into Chanel on the weekend and asked them about servicing the bag... Dior are great because they offer this service and you normally get your first clean for free if it's within 12 months of purchase...but Chanel said they don't do it, and wouldn't recommend a suitable cleaning product either. The aftersales is not so good with them!! xxx

great video!!! i have the same issue as you do though-- long nails > scratches. I'm considering buying this bag but unfort rarely see it in caviar leather. lambskin looks the best on this bag.. but is just way too delicate for everyday wear-- that the Boy Chanel exudes (everyday vs delicate like classic shape).

Hi Sophie, do you know if the price of the large Boy Bag is still the same as what you paid? I'm looking to get one in August for my birthday. I think the larger size is what I'm going for so I can use it during the day, it probably would be big enough. heyy sophie...im a new subbie and i had a question about your lambskin boy bag...idk if you've already answer these questions yet but if you have encountered similar problems...how do you work with the bottom of the boy bag sagging?? i understand its lambskin and its prone to sagging but are there ways of making it look more like its og shape?? also how do you deal with the top of the bag caving in a little when you open the bag while carrying it?? i notice if i dont set the bag on a counter somewhere and then open it the top part caves in and crinkles...thx sophie and btw i love yor videos...you are so pleasant to listen to

The gold on the lock bit has faded a lot on mine, and on the corners you can see silver showing through 😣 I haven't noticed anything on the chain, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were wearing. Terrible when you consider what they charge! Maybe take yours to a store and see if it can be renovated? Xx 😘😘

Hi Sophie. How do you find actually wearing it? When I've tried it on (and classic flap) I find the strap length awkward. It's neither a cross body nor a shoulder bag 😁 frustrating! x

Well, I can't speak for the classic flap, but I am tall (5'8") and have a long body - though I find the length of chain quite fine for cross-body and for wearing on a short length... When worn cross-body the bag sits at hip height, maybe a bit lower... But as I say, the classic may differ - you should try the Boy on and see if you prefer it! xxx

Joan deeren Hey Joan, It is sooo delicate....I think they first few scuffs I made just with my nails when I opened the bag once. I think the bright lighting made the marks more obvious - in normal day light they aren's as obvious (I watched the vid back and was thinking - Jeez! That's really awful. I hate their new floppy soft caviar too. I was just in Chanel and they were trying to sell me the calf boy bag. THey said the calf on the boy bags wears like a rock. They said there is NO scratching or scuffing of any kind. I said "nonsense" because people are complaining. I asked where's the caviar?, They said karl is changing all the leathers. He doesnt' want to use CAVIAR -- the old kind , They want new leathers. So I bought a Lesage Classic chanel jacket on sale instead. I can see that the leathers look thin and delicate. I'm very careful too but you cannot do anything if it's that delicate. Put Melatonin Clear on it. That's what chanel uses. And try to place the bag on a handkerchiefand when U put it down. There's no second markdown now on clothes, and things are going up big time I heard. I like Chanel much better than Hermes. However, if I get another bag I may get the Victoria ii. it's just so heavy. Luckily I don't need any bags. I hope karl fixes these problems. I haven't been ecstatic over the styles the last few season. LOL with your bag & just be careful. U no, this is not what coco wanted. She always said Luxury must be comfortable. She didnt' believe in shoes that hurt for style, or bags that were so delicate they couldnt' be used.

Joan deeren Hey Joan, thanks for writing to me with this info - I do think that is very wrong of them to be telling you (when they are basically trying to make a sale) that the bag is hard wearing, because it is NOT!! The caviar is SO much better, but even that goes on the corners... Thanks for your tip on the polish that Chanel use, I have never polished the bag because Chanel would not suggest a product in case it trashes the leather - but I will give this a go in a small discreet place on the bag as a test. I like your choice in buying the jacket in the end, so classic xx

If you didn't put so many makeup products in there, you would have stacks of room for more things. Makeup is a waste of time in my opinion and i am a female.
