Where was this song in 2000 when I needed it after a 20 year marriage that I have never been told why, went wrong. Could have used it back then. Gene Watson is my favorite "real country" singer. Saw him in person about 25 yrs. ago. Awesome ! Yes he should be in the Hall of Fame already !

Someone robbed my home and took all of them along with a great stereo. I had Bose Speakers. It was a rocking stereo. I use to put Gene Watson albums on and rock the neighborhood, lol. I've always been a fan of Gene's...since day one..I've followed his career and music... Bet' I have all his albums, I'm so glad there is a singer out there that actually puts down on paper what our emotions feels. I had the honor of seeing him in concert. He owned a tonky honk here in Oklahoma City' ...Jamie D's.... was there every weekend.... I couldn't picture country music without Gene. He doesn't get the credit in which he deserves. I can't believe he did it. Gene closed his show in Waco last night with this song as his encore. After telling the story of how and when the song came to him and his doubting his future in the business at the time, he asked for prayers hitting the high notes and promptly dove in and nailed it. Shocker huh? The crowd went nuts. Almost 80 and still the best. Thank you, Gene and the Farewell Party Band. Great night.
