Sir Problem solved The answer is Option(b) steam. First, A simple answer: There is more energy in the steam since the energy in boiling water tops out at 100 degrees Celsius as it is going through the phase change. Now in detail: The steam is actually boiled water. Boiled water is already at a high temperature. For the molecules to go to a desired state(as in the case of steam) more heat is needed than to reach the phase changing, vaporizing state of H2O. We know that heat is a form of energy. Hence, to say why steam has more energy is because more heat is applied. Also, pure steam requires a lot more heat at the same temperature, it consists of more energy. Another important thing is that we say boiling water because the given sample is 10g of H2O at 100 `C, which is the boiling point of water.
@ManochaAcademy4 жыл бұрын
Super! Steam is correct answer :) You can say that steam contains the latent heat of vaporisation, so it has more energy than water at the same temperature.

Steam has more energy and can cause severe burns too because it has absorbed more energy in the form of latent heat of vaporisation even though both water and steam are at same temperature of 100°C

Thanks for this clear explanation. The answer is B) steam
@BringIt6204 жыл бұрын

Steam is the answer because steam is in gas state so it has more kinetic energy. This is why we get severe burns when exposed to steam.
@seaofstudy91604 жыл бұрын
Steam causes severe burns because steam possesses additional energy (that's of latent heat of vapourisation) Due to this reason steam has more energy than boiling water

I am telling answer after 1 year but steam is the answer cause steam has latent heat in it and boiling water does not contain the latent heat.
