Great Job Dave, that line set was 7/8 and 1/2 inch.. yes hard drawn is the option.. If you have 3/4 , 5/8 suction and 3/8 liquid line to run, or 1/2 and 1/4... a long run on a roof, Buy some cheap Storm water Plastic pipe, 75 mm, 3" diameter, 6 m lenghts , roll out your copper, insulate, feed thru storm water pipe, quick, looks great, protected from the weather, you can also feed electrical cable in there too..make each end look pretty. jobs done.. thats what i've done in Australia for ages.... $15.00 for 6 m lennghts 75mm pipe...

Nice install Dave , with Sporlan TXVs you probably wont have to play with the valves . I’ve seen a few off by like 2-3 degrees which is not a big deal . In the other hand Emerson valves are sucky !!! Great video !! Horchata Man !!

Excellent vid as always NorCal Dave. Excellent mention on adding the gas total with the ID paint. Well done. Always nice to have the starting baseline rather than a big _"???"_ I liked that pre-fab box! I didn't think I would, haven't seen one before, but don't know that I don't like that better than a bendo special. The galvanized metal looked a little more weather resistant? Great informative vid Dave, THANKS!

I agree 100% Dave, what I like to think about is how many times has that TX valve cycled in its lifetime? 1,000,000 times maybe? It’s a false economy and a disservice to the customer to not change the valve when installing a new condensing package. Good video, thanks!

Wish I swapped the txv for my last condenser swap. I recently switched to refrigeration and I thought it was weird to install a r404a condenser but a r22 metering device/evap. I'm only watching this now after dealing with it going off on high head pressure a day later.

Good idea on the txv, for the cost of the part the customer doesnt need to know its not absolutely necessary, just a damn good idea.
