Change REAR brakes on audi A4 2006 B7

In this video me and my buddy tackle rear brakes on a 2006 audi a4 b7. This job is sooo easy save $$$! This will be the same for all a4 from 2006-2009. We got it done in about 1hr and 15 mins. Any questions just leave a comment and I'll get back to you!

I just did this for the first time. Much appreciated it. I also had a stuck wheel, a stuck rotor, and had to buy a wind tool for the calipers. I think it was because I don’t use my car too much. Was hard. Might do my other car soon.

hey no I didn't put a new one on this car. it's not 100% necessary because the lug nuts hold the rotor in place when you put the wheel on. some cars actually don't even come with those little bolts in the rotor. thanks for watching 🤙

hi, when you put the new disc on it gets stuck and doesn't seem to want to go any farther and then you cut away the vid and when it cuts back its past the point where it gets jammed and it is on. what did you do to get it past that point?. I am stuck here so any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

hello sorry about that some vehicles you may not be able to get the disc on like that. the red bracket in the video is removable look on the back there should be 2 big bolts. remove those 2 to get the disc on properly

hey man thanks for commenting. once the rotor is off you grab it with a pair of vice grips, and it will come right out because it's not holding anything anymore. you actually dont need that little bolt. i didnt put a new one on this car.

@@SidewalkMechanics To clear things up. The little bolt is not entirely necessary, but it does avoid the brake disc to be wonky when you take off the wheel. If I will snap one, I will not replace it, myb will do that later on.

9:33 I dont get what you mean. For What reason should it be brakegrease there? Im in a struggle right now with this shit, can get the pads Into the clips.. dont know why

hey my man glad to help! if you put the new clips sometimes it can be a bitch.you dont HAVE to put grease there. I've done plenty of brakes without greasing and they were fine. but you can try with the old clips if they are still in good shape OR just take some sand paper or a wire brush and take some paint off the brake pads where they slide into the clips and it will go in no problem! anything else drop another comment and I'll help you out bro - Mike🤙

Thx for the great instructions. I'm having a problem though. The bottom bolt just keeps spinning either way I turned. So I can't loosen the bottom bolt to get the old pads off of the caliber. Any suggestions? Thanks

you need to hold the nut while you loosen it look at 2:34 i point to the nut you need to hold while loosening the other one behind it. if you need help drop me another comment and I'll help ya. thanks for watching 🤙

You don't mention anything about bungie either show u putting the bokts back thru the disc to grip new one never mind half of it out ur camera away ding
