Changing your brake and clutch levers on a Royal Enfield Himalayan is soooo easy and can be done in under 10 minutes. Plus if your out riding off road it’s an important DIY skill to have.
Note the version below is for the Euro 5 NOT the previous versions if you have the Cold Start Assist Choke the versions below wont fit your Himalayan as it is not the Euro 5 version

Thank you for your interesting and beautiful video, it is absolutely clear. Two small questions: A) Is your Himalayan a Euro 5? B) My Hima is the same as yours, and the writing on the tank is the same, do you know what it means? Thank you very much and good light!
@PubRunner
@PubRunner 8 ай бұрын
Yes, it is a Euro 5 and I have no idea what it means. Great question tho I’ll try and find out. I always assumed that it meant the Himalayan was number 1 but it is probably more than that.

Hi, like the video, where are the levers from? Also you kept the original bar end weights like I did. The ones that came with the hand guards were pants🤣

I got the lever from Twisted Moto in Geelong Australia. www.twistedmotoparts.com.au/products/adjustable-long-levers-black-himalayan-and-scram-euro-5 The plastic bar end are by design I think and designed to break before the handlebars end also the mirrors are a bit more stable at 100kph with the plastic one on from memory.

What's the glue for that comes with the genuine Himalayan brake lever?
@PubRunner

There is no glue tho the pivot pins could use some lube. Thanks for watching.

I actually use the end of the break lever to get a bit more pull and stopping f power so for me the longer lever pulls the bike up noticeably quicker …..

@@PubRunner I stopped using four fingers on the clutch as I realized that I wasn't using any strength on my little finger while using all four fingers and that I have finer clutch control when I use two fingers. I shortened my OEM lever gradually until I found a length that suited me and then found an after-market lever of that length.

How much free play did you give the clutch lever?
@PubRunner
@PubRunner Жыл бұрын
I’ll have to double check but I think it’s 2-3 mm. I followed Old Man Ronen’s video. Oh and watch your clutch cable approaching 10000k 6000 miles mine broke at the engine end. The T bit came off the shaft of the T. It’s still crimped just the top came off.

@@PubRunner I changed my levers to the cnc adjustable as well. Left about 3mm free play as well. However, it’s really sensitive and quick to respond now. Very quick. I pull the clutch in and barely move it out 3mm and she hits the friction zone. I’m just worried it’s not quite adjusted proper. Makes for really fast take offs on the bike but I’m concerned it may not be engaging or disengaging fully, even though I don’t feel any troubles. Know what I mean?
