Hey
Have been getting few queries regarding rear brake pedal adjustment. And also watching some reviews where in people have mentioned things about rear brake failure. The braking system is ok in most cases, its the overheating of brake fluid because of improper riding by pressing down on brake pedal for too long. One must change the riding style to counter it. But sometimes the boots can make it a bit of a task, so lowering the lever can help
And as for gear lever, adjusting it to right leverage can make gear shifting a breeze, while accommodating for shoe/boot.
Cheers :)

Hey man, thank you for all these great videos - terrific resource for the aspiring home mechanic like me.😁 Please don't get mad, gonna give you a hint to make this one look even better: in English, the word BRAKE is about reducing speed ("to brake", "braking", "brake pedal"). "Break" is about destroying things, or taking some time off for rest.😉 Keep the videos coming, thanks a lot!

Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. Let me ask you something... I just got this bike (new to bikes in general) and I've noticed that the shift gets very rough once the bike heats up. Is there anything I can do to make this better? It's very smooth when the bike is cold and of course I'd like to keep it that way :)

Hey bro I have been following your channel for past six months. Your are doing a great job . And finally I got my Himalayan bs6 bike . I have stalling issue with my bike . I reported it to the showroom guys but they said a silly reason that every bs6 bike has this issue. Can you please tell me a way to fix this issue. My bike engine cuts off automatically whenever the throttle is de-aclerated .I hope you'll reply. Thank you.
@leuheanrede
@leuheanrede 4 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, yes i remember, you had query about buying Himalayan few months back Congrats on the new buy. As for stalling issues, first place to look for is the evap hose obstruction. You can ask the SVC guys to do it, or give that a try in spare time. Just loosen the two 10 mm bolts on the tank, disconnect the blue fuel gauge wire and raise the tanks slightly an follow along the long hose that goes all the way down to evap canister in bash plate, the below vid would give some idea of what to look out for. But in you case you dont have to remove the tank kzbin.info/www/bejne/baDbmYOPea2qrNE Cheers :)

Awesome, I complaint many times why my 3 rear break pads are changed whereas front one is stock one till date and odi clocked 20000, also I used to feel pain in my right ankle on long drive Now I know I have to adjust break lever and place it down to get right fit and feel while riding Just a query that nut that's connected to master cylinder, can we move it like that? Won't it creat any issue inside master cylinder, or is it meant to do it like that for setting as per rider legs Sorry for writing long comment Please respond please Also I would like to meet n ride my HIMALAYAN with u please
@leuheanrede
@leuheanrede 3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response mate Indeed dragging your foot on paddle if not adjusted properly, can lead to faster pad wear and over heating of brake fluid, thus failure. as for moving the nut, naah, idea is that it should not be pressing or applying pressure, it is designed to adjust the pin that applies pressure, and that is what we are adjusting, Cheers :)

@leuheanrede
@leuheanrede 3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Few things. The paddle needs to be adjusted so there is enough freeplay and brake pads are not dragging with disk, then make sure rear caliper is cleaned and pins are greased. I have done a vid on rear caliper too. Also most importantly how much kms done as you might have to change the brake fluid. Will try and post a vid on fluid change shortly. Cheers :)

@DatG-sx1co 3 жыл бұрын
@@leuheanrede thanks mate . there is ample amount of free play. The culprit would definitely be another thing which goes undiagnosed. Yeah...probably a brake fluid. Speaking of which pls do suggest what kind of break fluid is the best option?

@@DatG-sx1co thats bad. May I ask when was the rear brake caliper removed out and properly cleaned and the pins greased. I am really curious. I have posted a vid on that too. See, rear brake is not just about adjusting the freeplay or changing the brake fluid on time or just cleaning the rear brake caliper and greasing the pin. A properly functioning brake has to have all these things. I have explained in details about greasing caliper pins and their effect for both front and rear. Its not just one thing. At this point I can't go into further details as I have mentioned them with as much detail as I could in three or rather 4 vids. One thing I haven't mentioned yet is replacing the pump in master cylinder but you should only consider that as last step. First look for adjusting free play. Try a longer same size screw. Next clean the caliper properly and grease the pins. Next make sure oil is new. I your bike was here, I could have determined if pump inside master cylinder needs changing. But thats the last last thing and often not even needed. I think I have failed in explaining the importance overall brake system maintenance. I will try harder next time😐
