It was my birthday last month and as most millennials do, I pulled out my journal and reflected on the lessons I've learnt about life in the past 365 days.
From pursuing dreams to enjoying hobbies and navigating the ups and downs of motherhood, I'll talk about how attitude plays a huge role in our happiness.
In this video I share some moments from the past month, as I have tried to craft, and bake and make art with my camera.
The bunting I sewed for my daughter's room was self-drafted, and the fabric was leftover fabric as well as felt fabric from my local fabric store.
The beach we went to for my birthday was by Christchurch in the UK - a lovely area. Perfect for beach walks and reflecting on life, as well as for a good mental health day.
The cake I baked with my daughter after our beach trip was a simple vanilla and strawberry cream. Simple but so perfect for a lovely afternoon in the rain, spent with the family and celebrating life and love.

Thanks for this! It's strange how I went to Oxford last week and felt like the spring had arrived there. I however live in Sweden and we are still fighting the cold (minus 1 when I went to work this morning), I felt alive last week when walking in the parks and drinking tea outside, being able to walk around without a jacket at night. It's a lovely town you live in, and everyone was so nice. And I think that spring will arrive here soon as well, how I long to be able to garden and sew i summer dress.

Haha! Two very different experiences then. I guess compared to the minus 1 that you're having in Sweden, Oxford would feel very much like spring. It just hasn't stopped raining here since February - with a few exceptions of course, so even though the trees are blossoming and things are getting greener, it still feels quite grey and wintery rather than sunny and warm! But like you said, spring will make an appearance eventually and I am hoping for a good summer here in the UK! Wishing the same to you, from what I have seen Sweden looks like an amazing country! Can't wait to visit one day! X

yes, nits all part of the journey oh and threadworms ,hard to romanticise either but it is certainly part of motherhood and believe it or not I look back to those days of nit combs and itchy bottoms with a fondness !My lovely daughter is now a mum to my gorgeous four year old grandson and she is now experiencing all of these rich experiences 😂

Nit Combs and Itchy Bottoms! Sounds like it should be the title of a motherhood book! I did the second treatment yesterday, they say on the package to do it a week later as well to be on the safe side, and it was quite an enjoyable time! THESE ARE VERY RICH experiences indeed!
