I'll use zinc. It doesnt matter what brand name is attached to it.

I came here to find out what socket to use to replace the rear zinc, I got a commercial for Yamaha zinc. Zinc is an element and it all corrodes the same, none of it as slowly as the engine. Sure wish you had given me some useful info.

I think factory parts are always better, but for a zinc I can it's OK you use non brand items.

My anode were not Change it destroyed my lower end and the engine mounting bracket so now I’m buying a new engine it’s a Yamaha 200 HP what a shame

It doesnt matter what brand your zinc is, as long as its made of zinc and has the same geometry as the original part. You can even use pure aluminium as sacrificial anode for steel and various aluminium alloys..
