I'm glad we still get releases like this for older consoles. The graphics are gorgeous for a nes game.

This is absolutely gorgeous. There is real mastery of the hardware too here.

I believe the proper analogy is... " make a Death Star trench run look like taking your pet Womp Rat for a walk on the beach"... CARRY ON!!!...

I seem to recognize some enemies from Jaleco's Earth Defense Force. Anywhoo, interesting game.

They could of done by a Master system version if they the old complie devs. This is a pretty awesome game. Compile was great at pushing the limits of the Nes and Master system.

They really made fantastic use of the NES's underwhelming colour palettes

It can't be an old-school inspired Shmup without some typos. In the instruction book, they say the first level takes place in Honk Kong for example. Part of the charm. Thanks for watching!

What about the music and sound effects?
@BalleramaAC7 күн бұрын
I've got a secret reveal, it's not one that I'm particularly proud of, but because a lot of work in Shmups is repeating so much especially when I want to clear arcade games, I don't listen to the music any more. I put on a pair of headphones and listen to podcasts. However, I've gone back and listened to it. The sound effects are like they're taken out of 8-bit Aleste/pre-Aleste Compile titles, a little plink sound when something hits which is a nice throwback. The music though is quite varied, I don't think all of it hits, but I do appreciate Bayern because it sounds like someone's made an 8-bit version of a pop song, and there's some other music which sounds absolutely like an 8-bit Action title like it could be a Ninja Gaiden clone. There is stuff here for people to enjoy, but I have a lot of podcast subscriptions to get through. Thanks for watching.
