Great set of videos Dom, really enjoying them all. I do think the BBC need to provide you with the big tools though, as it's not like you just have to bring a sewing box to work. Great work and dedication you are a huge credit to the Repair Shop!

WOW... I’m blown away by the defender your doing. Planning it all putting it together, your so clever Dom and gracious about it too. Well done on getting the lift for Free too, that will make your life so much easier restoring your vehicles. Crikey I didn’t realise you had to pack up and use all of your tools for the repair shop... what a complete headache and logistical nightmare for you each time! Look forward to watching you on the show though and the items you get to restore for those people it means so much to.

I see you move a lot of stuff by yourself. I've always worked alone in my shop. I found out a lot of years ago that an engine lift with a good set of casters on it was one of my best friends in the shop.

You can never have enough tools that is a fact and I’m still buying and collecting and making bespoke tools 30+ years on I’ve actually got some tools that are 60 years old if not older as were my dads tools that I inherited. Good luck at repair shop my mother in law loves the repair shop and the work you’re doing is top notch.

Brilliant news about the lift, it’s sounds much safer. The Defender is really shaping up and putting the cardboard in helps to visualise it. Great news about the filming again although it does sounds a pain having to relocate your tools and nice to see you making a proper coffee with frothy milk in the morning!! Great video 😊

Big thanks to Dan too for the filming! Safe journey, Lynne

Hello Dom, well look at that! Nice lift at just the right price, seems like your neighbours are just about as cool as can be. Served my time under things on the cold wet concrete with welding splatter rolling around inside your ear hole and setting fire to your nice new boilersuit. Happy days!. Nice to see the project moving in the right direction, looking really good. Cheers Simon.

Hi Dom, have you thought about putting in an electric cool box. I use one on my camping trips. I plug it into a 12v plug in the back of my Defender which keeps it running on the journey and then plug it into the electric hookup on the camp site or run it off a leisure battery. This will keep the box at fridge temperature all day and more efficient than using frozen cool packs which will soon thaw out in the summer. Love the channel. Georgina

Dom, how about some polycarbonate for the panels? It’ll make it lighter and allow the server to see what’s going on around the vehicle. Not anywhere as easy to clean or keep looking nice but swings and roundabouts possibly?

My neighbour hangs out her back bedroom window taking pictures of me working on my small fleet of resto projects. She should be thankful I’m not out there grinding and welding weekly or daily using a DA rather than the paint stripping of my Routemaster bus. Has my neighbour nothing better to do! 😂🙄.

Gift horses and mouths come to mind. Easy to take on projects not easy to finish them i find old equipment can let you down. When somebody offers you something charge them a fee and ask for installation and running costs.

Hi there, when you are ready to take your coffee van out on the road you will need the coffee machine tested, let me know I know 2 people who can do it for you in your area, however they will need excess all around the mc plus water and power,it looks like a dual fuel mc aswell, not many can give you a gas safety cert for it though unless you go to fracino.

A very random question Dom if you don’t mind, which brand are your boots? I’ve been looking for everyday brown boots that can withstand a battering because I go through shoes so quickly. Being a handyman, working on cars and dog walks I’m too lazy to keep switching shoes. I love the KZbin channel and good luck filming on the repair shop. Can’t wait to see you on there.
