That is the sign that she is a leader to be reckoned with. Well done, your old man must be very proud of you, to say nothing of how Bess is feeling.

It’s the bells ringing in Parliament House summoning MPs and Senators to their respective chambers for a division (vote) or a quorum, or the start of the day’s sitting or some such. As both are flashing (red for the Senate and green for the House of Representatives), I’d say it’s the latter as it’s very unusual for both to have simultaneous divisions.

@@aboycalledjohn why dosnt it? You don’t vote for a party just on the leader. You look at the whole party and it policies and it’s ministers. Having a minister like Linda Burney who hasn’t a clue on how to improve the lives of aboriginals dosnt really give me confidence on Albo as a leader and his choice of ministers. I have voted twice for Labor and the last time was to get rid of Morrison who needed to go. She says in her Parliament page, in 2015 I was elected to the Alice Springs Town Council where I fought hard to improve the lives of Indigenous kids and tackled the tough issues that face our community, like domestic violence. Well considering the problems still happening in Alice Springs, I would say she failed. And she has still not put forward any policies towards helping Indigenous people. Was up in arms attacking the Voice for her people but has been damn quiet ever since then. And she also states she has been giving it to the Left for years. That does not sound like someone interested in finding common ground with the other side. Like Hanson, Price is in it for what she can gain politically and financially. And as usual, all the people writing comments on here have fallen for it. So many comments crediting Price for doing well, yet I would bet none of you now how many Indigenous people have been very successful long before her. Do any of you know why there is an Indigenous man on the $50 dollar note. Research it.
@bush2coast8015 ай бұрын
Yep, I do..... David Unaipon.... for all intents and purposes very clever. Yet disregarded by many. And NO, I didn't need to research it. Council is Rates, Roads and Rubbish and JP has ONE vote on Council. The Responsibility for Indigenous Affairs, does not lie with a Councillor but with a Minister at State, Territory or Federal level. Maybe you should highlight the failures of those, Linda Burney and Ken Wyatt in recent times. Trying to Elevate YOUR status, by berating other commentators on this Video thread, is not the smartest move. 😉
@margaretfrew66615 ай бұрын
@@bush2coast801 Well, in the NT the Indigenous Minister is in Darwin. They organise programs for towns such as Alice and allow services or the councils to run them. Considering my son worked with the Indigenous in the North, he had to organise services and councils to work together to run the programs the Federal Govt had implemented. He also attended a conference at Alice Springs that involved the Services, Council, NT Govt and the Fed Govt. Basically the Fed Govt handed out the money, the NT Govt allocated it and the Councils and Services spent it. The Minister's in Govt do not run the programs. So, Jacinta would have had access to the Minister to discuss programs and issues and how the NT Govt wanted them to be implemented. Same with the Federal Govt.

As the Minister for Indigenous Affairs what did Ken Wyatt or Linda Burney do. They had/have, the responsibility, not someone on Council, which handles Roads, Rates n Rubbish.
