The Army is always upgrading. I was in the 2nd cadre of 19k's to go through OSUT in March of '82. All my Drill Sgt.s were Vietnam Vets. Before I got out our steel pots had become Kevlar helmets, C-rats became MRE's. My trusty .45 became a 9mm. M151s became Hummve's. A Duece and a half became a 5 ton. I was trained in basic on the M60 and the Grease gun - never saw them again.

More like "downgrading". They now use their techniques and learned skills FROM the army to harass, scout and monitor somd of their own citizens. Like a pack of brainless sheep, they do as their superior tells them. Vets, thats who im talking about. Out here in Orlando, we have z severe problem of army vets backing up another one in Pinellas county, routinely gathering information for their old army colleague in St. Petersburg, FL. Their he uses that info to further develop a fraudulent case study on hid test subject in Orlando. Unbeknownst to him, as Strong as coalition of army vets is , their is ALWAYS someone one, group, stronger ... Smarter. Don't use your army training/skills on your own countrymen for nefarious intentions!!! Save that shit for terrorists!

Case study to take advantage of test subjects inheritance? ✔️ Id highly recommend marines instead: less chance 9f them terrorizing one of their own citizens. Different NCGs, the beginning of body armour. When I first joined the PTTest was less demanding then a year later. Work jungles for me ten years. Went from the 1950’s wools to the ECWS cold weather gear. The AT4 came along but we still carried LAWs M79. The hand grenades changed. We started with the M66 to the upgraded M67. TheArmy has changed. It’s been made better when it comes to training and equipment. But I feel the quality of youth and the push from the top for needless things are useless.

My 1st enlistment was in '81. We were one of the last OSUT cycles to be issued the pickle suit fatigues. As soon as I got to my first duty station, I was sent to clothing sales to buy 2 sets of BDU's and brown t-shirts. I can remember the early ones were of a heavier material, almost like denim. I was issued an M-16A1 (actually an H&R XM-15) rifle and a very old 1911 pistol. The barrel was so worn out on that pistol that when we'd check targets, you could pick up spent bullets that showed only one or maybe two grooves from the rifling. The rest of the surface was only lightly scuffed from its' trip down the barrel. LOL... It would have been easier to beat someone to death with that thing than actually try and shoot them with it !!!

I was an MP in the late 70's and we started off with the green fatigue uniform which we affectionally called the pickle suit, but I also served in Panama and was issues jungle fatigues. Our sidearm back then was the .45, and we wore both jungle boots and traditional black buts that we had to spit shine. Some wore jump boots because they were easier to shine. I loved the three event Pt Test and always maxed it, but when I first enlisted they had a 5 event test which included horizontal bars. We did PT test wearing out fatigues and combat boots, no running shoes back in the 70's. I served in the 80's as well an absolutely hated the military going to black berets and taking that away from the Rangers. That was stupid and disrespectful. For a while the black beret for rangers was as distinctive as the green berets for special forces. The M16 sucked. I would have rather had an AK47 instead the M16. I envy the new weapons used today. They would have been pretty cool to fire when I was in. I served 9 1/2 years in the military by the way.

PROBLEMS WITH THE US MILITARY There is a lot of talk these days about the difficulties the military is having retaining and recruiting personnel. After some thought, I see two categories of issues that could cause the military’s problems. FIRST ….. The perception that the US wants a war with Russia. SECOND ….. Conditions in the military itself. The US government seems to be trying to instigate a full-blown war with Russia. ….. It’s been well documented that the US has been trying to cause a conflict since the 1980’s. We even signed, and broke, an agreement that would have avoided conflict. ….. Most folks believe it was the US that destroyed the Nord Stream Pipeline (that’s an act of war against Russia and Germany). ….. The US has twice stopped a negotiated settlement in Ukraine. ….. The US actions in Ukraine caused Russia to get closer with China. This will make any future conflict with China much more difficult for the US. ….. Our Commander in Chief has mental issues. ….. The US now has boots on the ground in Ukraine. ….. Military personnel know the civilian population doesn’t know, or care, anything about the military. There is a severe disconnect between the military and civilian population. …………………………………………………… All of these things send a clear signal a US instigated war is more likely now than anytime since WW 2. ……………………………………………………. The next category of issues responsible for the recruiting and retention problems is the military itself. BENGHAZI We all watched President Obama abandon our military. But, added to that, we did not see any senior military leaders speak out. This was a clear indication that military leaders were more concerned with their jobs and perks, than the welfare of the troops under their command. AFGANSTAN We all watched the mismanaged withdrawal. We learned 2 lessons. First, the military leadership was incompetent. Second, No military leaders spoke out about this failure. This was a clear indication that military leaders were more concerned with their jobs and perks, than the welfare of the troops under their command. Additionally, this was just the latest military failure. The US has not won a war since 1946. Additionally, Congress has not declared war since WW 2. Our leaders no longer follow the Constitution. THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF The leader of the US military has mental issues. We are not allowed to say so. But, we all know it. Importantly, not one senior military leader has spoken up about this. THE DISCONNECT WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE Most Americans don’t know anyone in the military. Additionally, over 70% of America’s young people are not qualified to be in the military. The volunteer military has created a disconnect that encourages politicians to play at being generals, and sending our military into harms way on their warmonger whims (remember the US has not won a war since 1946). THE MILITARY HAS GONE WOLK The Military leadership has adopted an anti-Trump / pro socialist stance. They have embraced gender dysphoria. And, they have lowered standards to allow women to reduce combat effectiveness. Most of us have seen the recruiting video featuring a girl who has two mommies. All in all ……. The current difficulties with retention and recruitment seem a logical result of the above conditions.
