The fact that they removed the house, and leveled the hill...told me that, it was simply going to be an extension of the existing parking lot, or it would be some sort of business that could take advantage of the level lot and the adjacent parking lot for its future clients' cars.

WOW! That whole area changed. I lived in Marbury Plaza 28 years ago. Used to be woods across the street. I went there in 2015, there were townhouses across the street.

I was informed that the Dental Clinic next to the Post Office purchased the house and plan to build a new Dental Clinic in its spot.

I have no idea how I stumbled onto you.. but that was actually very interesting, regardless of the fact that I am nooowhere near. You made me interested. I thought it would seem that safeway might own because they look like the anchor in that shopping center and might have been the owner, but then I think Safeways don't really do to well anymore and it's probably those Good Hope Marketplace owners just like I think you said. Then I read the comments and I can't believe they would not use it for more parking but putting a random apartments right there.. but that seems to be everywhereeee now. I always wonder if they keep putting housing everywhere, and getting rid of businesses... how are they going to afford the housing😆. You should have your own segment on the news in your area... as one of the people that help people that can't seem to get help. 🙂 God Bless You. And Happy New Year!!!!!!!

URBAN REMOVAL!!!! Safeway will close eventually and the whole thing will be turned into upscale apartments who will help fund those new shops across the street.........I have seen it in my hometown in Connecticut. The "TOWN" is not a town any longer. The streets were not made to handle the traffic it currently generates. Good for businesses!! Not pretty to see and not good for older residents.

Wow. This is a landmark, everywhere I go DC history is being erased or DC is starting to look like NY or VA! In DC you cant recognize if your in DC or in the suburbs or out of town! AMEN!
