Great video ,very well explained. I have used what I call the bung kit extensively in the header tanks and they do usually work they are great for say exchanging radiator valves etc BUT you can only work on One bit of the system at a time or you break the air lock . A good airlock would stop the water in seconds but sometimes you would have to let it run out of the valve for up to 30 seconds before the flow would stop and on occasion it would not stop completely at all.

Loads of great info from Paul, it's good that you know this network of great knowledge. Any apprentice will find this invaluable Allen.

Ri's are not bad to work on at all. At least they don't have the dreadful pinholing hydraulic sets the WB combis have. I'm amazed at the repairable newish boilers I see at the scrapper these days. It's better money to chuck in a new one I suppose...and let the warranty do the rest. I'm not the biggest fan of Worcester boilers, but the guys from Worcester Bosch are usually spot on in my experience. They give the best customer service out there.

And........ I hope there is a strong advisory on the service report to get the system power flushed! Great video with plenty of tips and advise 👍👍👍

I would have let that hunk of junk go to the scrap yard . But great content and also a great way to show how to waste money on a boiler that belongs in the skip. Good work allen 👍👍

Ok his got two hands and one phone, but he explained in very detail. He has removed the cell with Manufactures instructions and has not cut any corners. You can remove the cell without removing the return pipe, without struggle or bending the case, using two big flat screwdriver. By ensuring the cell is pushed to the bracket then lift up with the screw driver, then the other screw and the cell pops up, no bending casing. I Love working on Worcester's and I know it's a lot of fiddle, but key is be calm and do it in step by step it's not a rush. If you do it once, then it's get easier and easier, the key is be calm and follow the MI Worcester's are good earner for me. It's not a struggle at all I find after working on these all these years, but at first I did find it hard and struggle, but know I find it ok to me and easily can earn money as we know their common problems. Thank you Allan

Great video ! I have yet to see that boiler over here! Bosch green star has a different heat exchanger over here !

Fair enough if it’s done under warranty or a Worcester one off repair cost but for an independent engineer to carry out it can soon mount up to over £500 easily .Also I’d be cleaning that tank out for starters as well as flushing before firing up £££😖. Still good informative content 👍

Doesn’t it have isolations on the flow and returns to the boiler 🤔

Not how wb eng told me how to take out h/exc told me to leave that return clip in. Screwdriver under h/exc and lever up. Sure seen it on a wb training vid as well

Good video but I'd have preferred it if he done a combi. I had to do one once & there's a seal on the left hand side that was a bugger to do. Not the best design

Why would even think of changing the heating exchanger on that terrible system, its ok under warranty but there clearly is a bigger issue goin on there
