I put these on my w9. So much better than the stock lights. I used your video for the installation. Thanks bro. They're awesome!

Thanks brother! I watched your vid and got mines done in 20 minutes. Looks a lot better but the visibility at night is 100 times better and safer!! Thanks again for teaching us long hood rookies 😆

Man. You didn't show how you hooked the wire into the plug after you pulled the headlight off. I'm catching hell trying to figure out how to install the high beam side with the 2 prongs.
@MakeCentsTrucking2 жыл бұрын
I’m so sorry bro!! I messed up. Fortunately it’s a easy switch if the wires. I didn’t realize this until weeks after I made video 🤦♂️

I'm glad you got the DOT-Approved kind. I've seen so many headlights and "fog" lights that are nothing more than flood lights that apparently just look cool to the purchaser. But those just shoot light everywhere to the front and can't be aimed. I would suggest using some sort of "liquid tape" to seal your male spade terminals at the original plugs. There will be a lot of water and stuff getting to those over the life of your lights. Then use electrical tape or large diameter shrink wrap to secure those in place. Second, when aiming my lights, I always aim them on bright. I aim my brights so they illuminate as far down the road as possible. The dims also have a high beam element so they too, get aimed as far down the road as possible. You need to cover the three you aren't aiming and do them one at a time. I've used a long stretch of dark road and I've used a long dark exit ramp for aiming purposes. A dark parking lot with a long line of sight can work as well. Obviously, you don't want to blind anyone while you are out there aiming your lights. I have found that some light ground fog can be helpful.

So that’s the trick to hooking up led from halogen is where the connections go in the plug?
@specialk94124 жыл бұрын
Thank you for choosing DOT approved lighting. I’m fed up with being blinded by the non compliant LED bulbs and not to mention off road light bars. Many states have a 4 light across the front law. It amazes me how bright the light bars are at a distance. But appear to put out very little light on the roadway for a very short distance.
@trucker0554 жыл бұрын
That’s how LED’s work. They’re brighter the farther away you get from them
@lumberjunkee84514 жыл бұрын
Totally agree
@rev9fan13 жыл бұрын
You can also be blinded by DOT approved headlights if someone doesn't have them adjusted the right way. My buddy had cutoff LED type lights and they were facing up to the top of someone's trailer, I was like dude, it shouldn't go any higher than the trunk of a car when you are 20 feet behind someone
@jaredwise93477 ай бұрын
Where did you get those connectors from? Or did you make them? I just got my W900L and have the issue where switching the halogen to LED didn't work. So, your video was very helpful, thank you.
@outlawoverlandexpress76264 жыл бұрын
I switched everything over to led including my side by side and my personal car. My neighbor switch his KW over to LED and said that they can become your enemy in the snow and ice because they do not produce heat. They sure look awesome though👍👊
@specialk94124 жыл бұрын
Diesel Power Channel They make some LED headlights that do have a heater element to keep them from freezing over. I believe TRUX brand. Probably others.
@captivethoughts17452 жыл бұрын
Simple answer: take a cloth and wipe some WD-40 or PB Blaster on the front of the light. They won't ice up. Cheaper than buying $300 LED headlights with heaters on them.

I bought my JW Speakers for $350 sump'em for 2 out the door from one of my part stores name "Great American Truck Parts" in Austell,Ga. It's like night and day compared to the stock 4x6's and they're plug'n play, no adapters👍. I did have to adjust them because I was blinding everyone running the backwoods of Tennessee! But your right, you can't see 5 feet in front a W-9 hood with the stock lights! Don't let it pour down raining and your loaded running through the woods? Ohhh boy your talking puckered and praying while sitting on top the steering wheel... LMAO. Those lights are the best investment yet! I'm gonna get the ones with the heater in them and put the ones I have now in the high beam spot because the low beam JW Speakers outshine the stock high beams. Question, where did you get your APU put in and how much? I have a 1996 W900L (yes it has a 3406e) and I want to get one put in. Any info you can pass on will be greatly appreciated! Thanks for showing the load board and the numbers because it's all about the numbers💰💰💰

Had a guy tell me this week that’s the best way to do em bc he said his kept burning out hooked up the regular way. Both our trucks are T800 kw’s. I’ve definitely got to do something bc I can see 💩 on low beam and we live in a very swampy area in the south and haul a lot of logs. Dangerous as can be. Preciate your comment
@rilloroc4 жыл бұрын
@@arfarms5711 another tip. When adjusting the beams, do the 2 outside lights normally. Tilt the 2 insides a little lower than you normally would and point them slightly outward. Gives you a good view of the shoulder without blinding oncoming traffic. That's kept me from many a texas hog and deer.
@arfarms57114 жыл бұрын
@@rilloroc man I Preciate info bro. I’m in SC and we hog and deer rich too. I’m in the low country (on coast) and haul a lot of logs and I swear the regular lights don’t work worth crap on these foggy mornings. Keep the shiny side up driver 👍👍✌️😎
