Thank you, sir. I was thinking it was going to be like my 2011 3/4 ton where I needed to take off the front end to switch bulbs..peace be with you.
@johnbeaulaurier6267 Жыл бұрын
Agreed on not touching the lamp with your fingers. You can leave oily areas on the glass that can get hotter then the rest of the surface, and than can reduce the life of the bulb.

Good video bud. Man a while back I couldn’t keep halogen bulbs in my truck. Seams like I was changing at least one a month til you guys tried those Firehawks. I know you said they didn’t work real well on your truck but mine is the older style and they’ve worked great. They’ve been in a year now with no issues. Had to adjust them slightly down was getting bright lighted a lot but that seamed to fixed that

I may try another set of led. They were definitely better than the morimoto

This was a great video!! Was able to follow along perfectly… Added PSA: don’t turn your truck on to check whether the light works or not while the air filter is off🤦🏻♀️ SMH!!

Always something. I run the SilverStars and have actually shut my hood and one blew out. I'm going back to the Led lights. I know you didn't like them due to cut off, but as I have gotten older, I need a whiter light for night driving. I'm going to shoot some video differences of the led High and low beams and swapping the low beams to led. I'll send you a video.

Any thoughts on going with a cold air intake? Been thinking about getting one for my L5P.
@CFarmer Жыл бұрын
I thought about a cold air intake earlier on but never did. I would think it would be a good invest.

I’ve watched many of your great videos, but have not seen one on replacing F/R deferential gear lube. I would like to seek your advise on this issue. My rig is a 2017 Chevrolet LP5 with 120,000 miles. I have never had the lube changed and am planning to do it myself. My question is what lube would you recommend and should I do the front deferential as well? I’ve seen posts on the Duramax forum that said if you rarely run in 4WD, it is not really necessary. I probably have run less than 75 miles in 4WD as I’m in the panhandle ofTexas and we rarely have snow here and I rarely run in muddy conditions. I do quite a bit of towing of a 13K 5th wheel and occasionally a cattle trailer. Thx! RJones

I have tried to record changing differentials, but something always happens to keep me from getting the video. I change rear differential and transfer case every 100k .i have only changed the front every other time because of not running much in 4 wheel drive. I'm not sure off the top of my head what interval they're supposed to be changed but that's what I've been doing
