Thanks for you time and effort making this video. Correct torque is 13 ft/lbs as you said. Just a fyi...do NOT use anti-seize as the plug manufactures state, it can "throw off you torque values and cause over tightening" and head damage. Remember, your screwing into aluminum and is soft!

Their official shop repair manual from Chrysler for 08-10 does recommend the anti-seize. They even “suggest” their mopar anti-seize platinum in the same section this guy placed it actually.

13 ft of torque, where did you get that info?
@rmp95 Жыл бұрын
From my own experiments, I have found that the reason why they say not to use anti-seize is because it can make the "click" on the torque wrenches so dulled that you wouldn't even feel it. Hence, why in order to stick to the needed specs, you must be able to feel the click easily. (Which is what is meant by "it will throw off your torque values"!) This happened to me when I used anti-seize. There was a click on my torque wrench, but it was so subtle that I wouldn't have noticed it at all.

I know this is a old video. I'm doing my first spark plug change on a mopar engine. I like to watch videos with same projects, so i can see what I'm getting myself into. I notice that you didn't check spark plug gap. Very important as it could lead to misfire even spark plug failure and or damage to engine. Anybody that doesn't check spark plug for cracks and most important the gap, shouldn't be anywhere near an engine. Thanks for video.

I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 with a 5.7 Hemi. It has just over 30,000 miles on it and runs great. I've been thinking of changing the spark plugs but I'm worried that the plugs might be stuck to the aluminum heads after all these years and could either break off or ruin the threads in the head. Have you ever heard of that happening?
