In case anyone was looking for it in the description. Tools needed are an 8mm Hex Socket, socket wrench, and socket extenders.

Good Video, I do mine Front and Rear along with the transfer case for my 2015 Grand Cherokee Limited AWD. I do it every year and Use Redline 75W85 in the differentials and it meets the specifications , ATF+4 in the transfer case. The Mopar gear oil is to expensive , but use the Mopar ATF+4 which is more reasonably priced

Jeep requires a different part number (5136035ad) for the Diff Fluid which goes for $64/quart. Do you know what the difference is other than the big price difference? I think the recommended one has a friction modifier additive which the 2015 Grand Cherokee needs. I would like the buy the cheaper one you show in this video but don't want to risk damage to my diff.

I don't believe my vehicle has a limited slip. I can say that the vehicle in this video is a daily driver and is running just fine with the fluid I used in this video. Not sure what the difference is between this fluid in the dealer fluid sorry

Just filling until it leaks out?? It very not accurate or specific. Is this the procedure? Thanks
@JoesGarageProductionsLLC2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is a very common procedure when servicing differentials. The vehicle is still on the road today and there have been no issues with the rear differential.

I want to change the transfer case fluid change on my 2015 Jeep grand Cherokee high altitude 3.6L 4x4 how do I know if it has a 1 speed or 2 speed transfer case?
@JoesGarageProductionsLLC7 ай бұрын
Sorry, I am not too familiar with the 4x4 version (FL is pretty 2WD dominant), but does that matter from a fluid change perspective? Do they not all take ATF+4?

I had to get it straight From the dealer. Didn’t want to risk buying the wrong fluid.. but thanks for the reply

I think you would need to look up the build sheet by the VIN to be sure. Try this: fcagroup.my.site.com/Jeep/s/equipment-listing
