Everyone has one of those days when the unexpected happens. Having my door handle break was something I did not expect but it happens. Changing it out is really quite easy with a little patience.

Stevo, thank you very much for the video. My driver's door handle broke on me just today so I immediately took to KZbin and found you😀 I had fixed the passenger door handle a few years ago but I wanted a refresher course. You helped me quite a bit. The only thing I would change from what you did is this...When you reinstall the window winder handle, I would put it at horizontal instead of how you had it tilted down. The reason is so that it doesn't hit your knee while your sitting at the wheel. Hope that makes sense. Thanks again.

It is unfortunate but as things get old they do wear out. Glad the video gave you a refresher course. Never thought about the location of the window crank. Now it will probably bug me LOL. Thanks. Stevo

@@stevoj8959 "Window crank"!!! That was what I was looking for! My mind was completely blank so I finally decided on "window winder handle" 🙄 So yes things do wear out as they get older, witness my mind. I hope my repair today goes smoother😀

I just got back from camping and I have it running great. Pull a 24 fter with ease and it's fun to drive. Reminds me of when I was growing up when those trucks were new. Stevo

Only 50 years old. Nice fix. My 1970 Cutlass Supreme had those window knob clips. Once you understand how they work, they are not difficult.

Yes the same clip for sure. That tool is nice if you ever have to remove it but a pretty simple design. Stevo

nice looking truck ,i used a hacksaw blade to take the clips off before the teeth hook the end of the clips
@stevoj89593 жыл бұрын
That is a good idea. Could put a bit of a bend in the blade to make it easier to use as well. Going to give it a try. Thanks Stevo
