When winding the piston back, loosen the brake fluid reservoir cap! Forgot to mention that!

Things are coming along nicely! Although, I've had a few bumps in the road along the way. I appreciate you all supporting me! It helps me so much, and I love making content on my S3, and the build! In addition to the build content, I'm going on a few road trips this year, which I'll film, and it will be something new for the channel 😄

Good guide and reminds me I need to get the rear sorted on mine soon! Loving the black disk, they look great.

Thanks bro! Yeah the rears tend to get bad quickly. Seems like a VAG trait.

well done for your perseverance and in depth explanation. pad and disc changes are a nightmare. i remeber doing mine for the first time in october 2020 with a broken hand then driving up to newcastle from London the next morning.

I appreciate it mate. It's not always easy doing the work yourself, but always a good feeling upon completion. I've just recorded DIY coilvers today, and my ankle is swollen from a fall a couple of days ago!! 😭😭 Keep an eye out for that video! 👍🏽

@@S3Ranj I'll look out for that video. I followed your instructions for the a6 screen misters and its night and day. They should make all the audi's come like that from factory. I'll give you a shout on your instagram, maybe we can link up next month when I head back up north

You’re pads have worn unevenly because of the lack of grease on the sliding pins. The greased sliding pins allows the caliper to move in and out freely, without this the calipers will seize overtime. I use silicone grease on mine as they slide through a small rubber boot. Other than that great vid bro loving the content!

did you notice any braking power upgrade? can you abuse a bit more over the standard ones?
@S3Ranj4 ай бұрын
The discs are not really an upgrade in hindsight. The pads and lines you could feel the difference.

Does your model have the electronic handbrake? Still able to do without the diagnostic tools?

Great video bro, is this the automatic s3 with electric handbreak?

Is this an S3 8v face-lift or pre-face-lift? Didn't know the back discs come off without removing the caliper carrier!
@S3Ranj2 жыл бұрын
@@AdrianTechs mines a facelift. But, its same for pre face lift too. Same rear brake set up.
@danpeoples1000 Жыл бұрын
Great Video! Question: So you did NOT need to electronically release or move the brake piston (In the calipers) before or after the installation? Thanks in advance!
@S3Ranj Жыл бұрын
Thanks. You need to release the e-brake before installation. Then after, you need to wind the piston back flush. Then when rengage e-brake.
