@@scallywaggedYo! I’m sorry, I don’t know how I missed your comment. I hope by now you’ve got the tire back on! I feel you tho! Towards the end of the replacement the tire really fights you, but if you heat it up with a hair dryer or some sunshine , it slides right on the rim.

Hey there! Here’s a link to my stands, they’ve been great. If you are going to follow my suggested steps, make sure to warm up your tire before attempting to put it on the rim. Did my back tire but now. Thrilled wont work and brake is runbbing. Is that a back tire positioning thing?
@chillsFPV6 ай бұрын
Apologies for the late response. Totally a sign of an alignment issue. I used to sit behind the bike on the ground and pull the wheel back so that there was some tension on the chain (not too much like 90% tight) and then inspect the distance of the wheel to the frame. If it is even on both sides, I would give it a spin and see if there was any break rub. Once it’s all sounding clean, tighten it up to 90Nm on your torque and ride safe!

Nice vid! Which tires are those? Also what fender is that? And which shocks? Any rebound adj. on them? Thanks for any info :)
@chillsFPV2 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro! I have the Shinko 241’s 17x2.75 on now, they are quite an upgrade from the DRT’s. As for the fender, I bought a cheap 17” one of treatland.Com , cut it up, grinder it down , and pounded its shape out. So there’s not really a link to it, but once I was done I used magnetic bolts to attach it to the front spacer. The shocks I also got from treatland, but they are frequently out of stock. They are the Egoboost 350mm - 370mm. They came adjusted in the center so I’ve left them there. They make a noticble difference and only took 15 mins to put on!

That’s correct. The brake disk will stay attached to the rim and the break device to the frame. When putting the wheel back on, make sure the disk isn’t rubbing the break pads, and then tighten the axle nuts and motor stay bolts.

ik its just changing a tube but just watching how unnecessarily complicated this is makes me glad i decided not to get an onyx lmfao like why cant you just simply disconnect the motor cable like a lot of other ebikes
@chillsFPV2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that would be super helpful. But all that would really change is where I put the wheel when changing the tube. So as long as my stand can be next to my bike, in my eyes, not a deal breaker. This bike is amazing and worth any effort on my part to keep it running smoothly.
