Changing the Revit/Dynamo Background Colours

Today's video covers both Revit and Dynamo, and deals with how to change the default background colour in both programs. I briefly touch on changing other aspects of both programs such as selection highlight colours and why you may consider using different colour schemes.

Hello, is it possible to change the background color inside the Dynamo Python Script from dark to some bright color?

Hrm not that I've seen in the past... have a dig through the settings file and see what you find! My guess is it's built into the settings for the Python wrapper itself versus Dynamo.

why does it only work for revit 2019 and not 2021? I thought the theme/moden folders were the same for all revit versions. Please advise! thank you

I believe you will need to update different files depending on your dynamo build. They may have changed how this works since I made this video, haven't changed the colour scheme for a while in Dynamo.

@@AussieBIMGuru I tried editing more .xaml files (Core build 2.6.8786, Revit build 2.6.1.8850) but didn't have any success. Can't figure out why its not updating any colors.

Might be worth querying on the dynamo forums to see if people know the method specific to that particular version.
