Well I found this video helpful, thanks. Some bar clamps worked for me, but my tires are a good bit smaller.

Thanks much for the video - we have to do this for our go kart rear axle wheels and the clamps are a great idea.

Ed Housey I have go karts that have split rims front and back and looking for a good solution. Have you tried this yet?

How is the corrosion on the bead causing leaks if your using a tube?

With a tube, it won't cause a leak like it does with tubeless tires on cars, but I still don't want the corrosion to continue to get worse. Perhaps I wasn't clear.

Why doesn’t every go kart have these types of rims? They’re the most easiest rims to put in a tire.

Light and Sporty Guy no problem 😊 im changing my tires with these types of rims for my go kart and this video helped me discover how to remove the half rims. I just recently found out i had half rims.
