Thanks for the video. I wanted to make sure I did this correctly.

Do you not have to turn off the water supply?
@DrBDIY2 ай бұрын
That is a good question. The manual doesn't mention turning off the water. I have never turned the water off when changing water filters in any refrigerator. I suspect the water will bypass the filter when the filter is removed. Or maybe I have been fortunate that the water isn't cycling to the ice maker when I change the filter.

Hi! I have the counter depth model and on your videos, your fridge seems super quiet. My lg fridge is making low humming noises, and I'm not sure if it's normal. Does yours make these noises as well?

I don't really hear the fridge except when the compressor kicks in to cool the unit. Also, I hear ice drop sometimes. But basically, it is super quiet. Did you get a model with the constant fan? I had a upright freezer that had a constant fan and I returned it as it was too noisy.

@DrB DIY I think it does not have a constant fan. Since I only hear the humming sound when the compresor is on. When the compresor is off, it barely makes a sound.

Yes, so that hum is probably the fan. When the compressor turns on, a fan usually turns on also to circulate the cold air.

@DrB DIY yesterday, I realized that I needed to level my fridge. The front legs weren't touching the floor, and once I made them touch the floor, the huming noise became 30% quieter. Maybe all I needed to do was level the fridge. 😅

Where is the air filter?
@DrBDIY Жыл бұрын
That is what I asked myself. This model doesn't use an air filter. A think a similar model does.

@@DrBDIY I think you're right. I only ordered a package of water filters for my fridge but they sent me air filters too. That made me think I had to change it out too. Thanks for the info!
