I’ve always been a Red Dot Sight kinda guy. The holo-sight in any game has always felt like too much recoil and an awkward amount of zoom to me.

red eye always been elite. Any gun that’s has red eye has been CRACKED. It also takes up little space and is very easy to track enemies with.

I've loved the holo sight for AR, but i might finally give this a try. I think my one beef with the red-dot is that I wish the scope itself actually took up a little more real-estate on screen so you could see more inside of the window overlay. It's such a tiny circle that my brain has more trouble tracking movement that gets cropped to left and right of the dot. Anyone else?

FR it always felt like the red dot was significantly restricting my view whenever I used it on an ar :C but on shotguns it feels great. I also never noticed the sensitivity change using the holo sight but it never felt out of place bc I use it to follow up long range snipes where I want less sensitivity anyways. Gonna try the red dot still tho maybe it'll encourage me to be more precise 🤞

I never thought about this since i always aim train with the red dot or holo. But i always liked the red dot on the Nemesis.

I was a holoscope AR guy in chapter 4 and in most of C5S1, but after using the Ares’ Mythic with the redeye and seeing how much more I was beaming people, I started using it every time I mod my AR (War Forged and Nemesis) and it’s been game changing for me.

Watching your gameplay, you can see there is a reason for literally every little thing you do, and it's a thing of beauty. But for you, it looks like most of the actual gameplay is 2nd nature, and you barely have to think about what to do in which situations, as it's ingrained in you from hours of gameplay. So my question is, are there any drills you can recommend to get some of these things bedded in, without having to be under pressure in a fight first? I tend to think about what I need to do right now in some situations, and get hung up trying to make that thing happen and die in the process 😂

There’s also something wrong with the ADS placement in the other scopes. I find they ADS a little to the left, whereas the Red Dot ADS’s centered.

is it just me or does the tommy gun with a sight seems to have some sort of horizontal recoil where after shooting for a second the crosshair sways back and forth. I would have chalked it up to me accidently moving my mouse but its happened semi consistently throughout the times I've used it.

@@Icemanonpc damn, I meant it was a weird recoil, it like moved side to side rather than consistently moving to a certain side. Also I do play a decent amount of cod and can manage recoil reasonably well. I was simply asking if anyone else had experienced the weird recoil before

I have known this for some time but learned it anecdotally and empirically, not understanding that there was legitimate sensitivity adjustment going on behind the scenes. This is great information for me. I probably play on a lower sensitivity than most 5 and 3 with raised sticks and almost cannot hit an opponent with a thermal warforge. I routinely drop legendary thermals for blue red dots if bunkers are close to opening.

I’ve been on this wave since the nisha’s mythic haha, I even use red dot on my sniper right now since I don’t like the thermal nearly as much as the old acog and the holo just blocks too much of your vision with that red circle around the dot, drives me crazy sometimes with the sniper lol. I just use a very slow ads sens compared to my pretty high normal sens, so I can be accurate. Little boost ramp or whatever it’s called so faster flicks are somewhat possible, just have to focus on centering people and tracking before you ads, especially if you get stuck with one of the other scopes early game

The thermo scope on a war forged AR is completely hopeless for me. If I find one I just leave it behind.

i’ve never had problems with AR’s in fortnite while playing on a 6 ads which is quite low it seems to others. but this season i genuinely can’t use the warforged. especially with no sight. the recoil is to strong for me to use

Ive always kept my scopes standard to what theyd be pre-mod benches ARs are red dots, Snipers are 4x (although i preferred the S1 2x) and shotguns are not scoped. I hateeeeee scopes on shottys

I’ve preferred the red dot since the beginning of chapter 5 so i dont think i would notice but if your someone who hasn’t used it much give it a try, i feel like tracking is easier with the red dot as well since you just need to focus on the dot being on the player over the holo

wish everything was just 100% of your normal aim all the time instead of randomly changing it when you dont want it to. they have a setting that lowers your sens when you aim already so people can use that

According to a leak on Twitter from I don't remember who, about attachments, it was specified in the game files that the ACOG (2×) and Sniper scope had an effective recoil increase when equipped. Which made sense to me as I tested it after finding it out.

higher zoom tends to amplify recoil as well in a lot of games but both things are true. Like the recoil seems worse cause its zoomed in and then also harder to counter cause your sens is lower

Ive been using reddot since the start, its better and love the only dot one, more consistent for me and I fry ppl with it. Why would u even need a bigger zoom? Even at long ranges u can see perfectly fine and you are using a sniper at those ranges anyway. When I was experimenting when attachments first came out I noticed I fried ppl alot with Nisha's AR, so I used the reddot ever since on all my ARs

I just compared two warforged ARs with the same attachments except one had red dot and the other had the holo on KB/M. You can definitely feel some kind of difference there when shooting side to side, up and down while ADS. It's not much, but it's there.
