You are probably the most open and honest streamer/broadcaster that I have ever had the pleasure of watching and interacting with. You have a genuine love for your job/art and that really does come through in your streams and vids. So first off, do not lose any thoughts over negativity. If people don't understand you or how hard you work then they are not worth you time or our time. You have the backing of a fantastic community and we all want you to succeed and have a long and rich career in this medium. As far as the Q&A vids, I think it's a great idea and maybe an "ask squirrel" post on the Sub forums too to give something a bit more personal back to your subs that you can choose a few questions from each month to answer in your next vid. As for canning or carrying on with KZbin series vids, how about a weekly poll somehow? Via your Website or Twitch stream etc. And link in the descriptions for the vids. As for a name for the Q&A, how about "Squirrel's Chatterbox Service" nicely forms S.C.S ;-) ;-) ;-) All the best and keep up the great work Paul!

Paul Hayward Squirrel I agree with Paul, you're an amazing guy and I have my notifications on so I watch your videos as soon as they're up and you deserve a thank you which I think some people aren't saying to you, I think you do great videos and I never get bored, watched all your videos from start to finish. I see lots of comments about you missing something on a game, oh well you cannot do everything right and that isn't your fault, so people should take into consideration that you have changed your life to fit around KZbin and Twitch and you're going to make mistakes, its impossible not to make a mistake at some point, I think you're great with KZbin and Twitch and I can see 100% effort is always put into your videos, I agree with you when you said that if the numbers aren't there then you may can it, that is acceptable because then that time could be used elsewhere like with your family or with another video to replace that game. I absolutely love this channel and I would like to say a big thank you for trying so hard for everyone who has subscribed and I think people should also accept you have a family who you need to attend to. I fully understand you problems with time management. I am doing the KZbin thing besides a fulltime job and a big family and if it wasn't for me only running on 3 hours of sleep daily I couldn't do a Video a day either. Plus you have to keep in mind most of your Videos are well over half an hour that is a longer time recording, longer time editing, longer time rendering and longer time uploading. All these things have to be considered, I have no doubt in my mind you will reach all those goals you have set for you and the channel. And true fans, not just passerby viewers will understand that.

I thoroughly enjoy your content Paul, daily videos is a very big goal and even if it isn't fully met it does not really matter, I find some channel that are releasing content each day can get a little back logged for the viewer. I think finding the right balance that you feel comfortable with is key, people will still watch and I think people like a small gap between content and retention is better. Thank you for making this. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and candor. It's something that I've found lacking in a lot of other gaming channels. In regards to Car Mech Sim, I would probably enjoy it more if it was edited down a bit. The game, to me, seems a bit repetitive early on, at least until you unlock the new features. I wouldn't mind if the series skipped ahead a bit through the early stages of the game. I thought about the Q/A title and the best I could come up with was "The Sqlog" Squirrel's vlog. I figured the increase in ads weren't your doing, since you've never seemed like the type to take advantage of anything. I've also noticed similar things happening on other channels. My only other suggestion would be maybe make a semi-regular series where you make a one-off video of a completely off the wall game. I'm thinking of when you did that bizarre Christmas Shopping game. Just something where you goof off for half an hour. I think that'd be a fun addition to the channel!

All I'm going to say is take your time and don't get stressed as that is the worst thing. Secondly I must say that you are the most kindest and supportive person I have seen on KZbin. I have only started watching since the beginning of 2014 but you are by far the best I have seen. I don't care how long it takes you to make a video as going full time can be hard at first as it can take one to five years to get used to doing this. All I can say is I can't put words into context as there isn't enough words to describe you. I think video's like this are good and I think you could call it the Squirrels Weekly Chalk Talk Video. Please don't stop Car mechanic sim or any good content as I watch it all, you name the video on your channel and I've probably watched it or will watch it. • I have personally never seen adverts every 7 minutes. I don't like adverts, but I understand why they're there. I personally wouldn't block them. • I think most of us respect the fact that uploading videos everyday is very demanding and hard and will take some time before you upload daily. Don't worry about it. • Q&A / General talking videos where you just talk sounds good. I really liked the Euro Truck days where you just talk to us. Maybe call it Weekly Chat With Squirrel. I'm sure someone will come up with a great name. • As for games like Car Mechanic, if you don't think it is benefiting the channel call it a day with them and make room for new games or more content from games which are doing well. Remember you are doing a great job, keep it up mate.

I would suggest you setting a day of the week as the day then on the weekends to be the family day with some occasional bonus video of the games you play. It worked pretty well for the rest of the youtubers that I followed

Simulation with some other games mixed in are just what I'm interested in so perfect for me! To have a series of Squirrel Talks News Updates is a good thing, especially if it's more than a list of news. I want it to be be more in a "column format" meaning your opinions and thoughts on new games, hardware etc. Would be much appreciated. Being a self employed content creator I can feel your frustrations, not being able to produce content fast enough. I made my transition from an working life 3 years ago and still struggling with schedules, working limits and other interests. Now after I have watched whole video again in peace i can comment properly. Let's start from beginning. I saw ETS2 on Steam winter sale, went on YT to see what's it about and first video i saw was you your video. I was instantly hooked to the channel (later to Twitch) and to the game and all because of your charisma, how warm and welcoming your voice was. And because of that voice I have bought/am buying most of the games that you have on channel :D As far as random "haters" go, you should just ignore them. In the last 6 months I've been following you, your community has been an awesome supporter, critic, adviser...In other words: we all come back, sometimes with new people, because we see how hard you try, how you interact with your community and much you care about your fans. As far as the series go. I would recommend you the system that I use for all new shows. I watch first 4 episodes, and if the show doesn't hook me i stop watching. You could use the same thing for the series, if the views are not there.... I really enjoy every of your video, but as you also said in video some games are only stream-able, some are and just for video and some are both. Ideas for Q&A name: Evening with Squirrel Nut/Squirrel Lounge Squirrel and his nuts Such stream, much awesome, very wow :) PS. Sorry for the long post, and keep being awesome :)

Hey there Squirrel - I'm a bit of a lurker, came for the ETS2, stayed for Car Mechanic and then everything else. A few thoughts, beyond the customary but emphatic "please keep doing what you're doing!". 1 - Maybe poll bi-monthly as well as looking at view counts. Ask people for their favourite current three series, plus one suggestion for something you don't do but they'd like you to. (What people watch, and what they think they'd like to watch can often be different) 2 - Following on from that maybe have 3/4 of your content being things you like and we like, but 1/4 being "things you like and you think we'd like". Don't end up "leading from the back" and being entirely driven by your viewers. Sometimes the customer doesn't know what he wants until he gets it. And please, please, only do things you genuinely enjoy doing - it was your enthusiasm and sense of fun that got me to subscribe, not just the subject matter. 3 - How about SDS - "Squirrel Discussion Simulator"?

I've loved seeing Cities:Skylines, KSP, The Forrest, and ETS2 the most. I'm interested in seeing more of Project Cars, Trainz: New Era, multiple others. I'm beginning to enjoy the Train Sims and others. Heck, I love just about everything you play haha. P3D so far isn't something I like but I may like it the more it's done. I'm gonna give it a chance though. Regardless you're one of my favorite KZbinrs and will continue to watch. Great videos with with the Great Squirrel. Keep up the good work! I think a poll via Google Docs or something would be a good way to see what people want scrapped and what people want continued. You aren't going to please everyone but you can try to please the majority. However, do whatever you enjoy doing. Don't always make a video for a game that you hate playing. I know you're working as hard as you can to produce content so I'm willing to wait for the daily video goal. The Q&A video could be called "Sitting Down with Squirrel".

Loved the video Squirrel. Great to see you caring about your fans and interacting with them! Car Mechanic Simulator- personally, can it. I know people who enjoy it won't be too happy but at the end of the day, a lot of effort goes into making a youtube video and you need to benefit from it. You can better utilise your time on other games which are more popular on your channel. I am loving your KSP series but that has even worse numbers so maybe that's another series to think about. Would be a great shame personally as I love the way you are doing your videos for the series (very informative and learnt a lot) but you have to do what's best for you. In regards to your Q&A series... Squirrel's nuts & bolts?? Reason behind it is squirrels love nuts, and nuts and bolts means a bit of everything. So your session you will be talking about a bit of everything... just the reason behind it. Loving your work and keep it up!!

Well Squirrel what can I say you are making the transition from doing a job you liked albeit extremely stressful and health concerning, to doing something you love which is hopefully way less stressful or it could be a different kind of stress that you put on yourself and can therefore control, I take my hat off to you sir! you sound much happier and this comes across on both youtube and twitch. Now, this new video channel you were musing about, firstly it sounds like a great idea,in a lot of ways, for example it makes you more of a person than a personality (more human and approachable if you like) your humour comes across a lot more in the recent videos you've been doing (perhaps related to your change in lifestyle), that's something good. Hmm a title, well, when I watched this part of your video something popped straight into my head, almost a lightbulb moment, something that reflects your ideas, humour, personability and (I have to say it) Britishness - if that's even a word - how about Squirrel's Stuff and Nonsense!! (Dickensian and Shakespearean references aside). Keep up the great work, and I have to say Happy Truckin', Trainin' etc. Jon.

Hey squirrel, first time commenterer here. Just wanted to say that I tend to have your videos on while im working, so for me the idea of a video along the lines of the one you suggested sounds great. Theres something about your style of commentating that I find sort of soothing in a totally uncreepy kind of way! I don't ever watch a youtube video that's more than 20 minutes long except yours, so im a bit of a fan. I would also suggest giving the weekly video a plan part of it. As an example one of the youtubers that I watch has a video a week dedicated to his plans. Basically he will say on Monday expect video A, on Tuesday expect video B.... etc. This would give us all a schedule that we can work with, yet doesn't involve specific times so its still flexible enough to work around you. The following week if he had to miss an upload for any reason he would just apologise and say when we can expect it. I hope negative feedback isn't getting you down and I hope that you see it in a positive way. They might be angry but its because they love the content and miss it when it isn't there. Perhaps a weekly plan/recap segment would help your community keep in touch with whats what (especially for those of us that don't use twitter. I like the name nutty natters which was mentioned already. Finally (you mentioned you don't like paragraphs of text so sorry for that), I enjoy both KSP and car mechanic simulator, however both tend to run on too long for my taste. I think with ETS/flight sim longer videos are better but theres only so long you can watch car mechanic in one sitting. Would you consider reducing their running time rather than scraping the series altogether. If there's still no improvement in viewership then can it. Except KSP don't can that please :) Keep it up!

Hey! Great video, it's interesting to hear all your thoughts and ideas! The thing about Car Mechanic Simulator in my opinion is that the game is kind of repeatedly, you have to work up your XP to be able to do new stuff like customizing your own car and sell it and stuff like that. Your videos are great, but i think if you jump forward a bit where you can paint your car and buy cars to yourself and play with, it would be fun to continuing watching :) and also if you decide to "can" a game you've started with it would be nice to know like a post on Facebook or something saying "Due to lack of views on 'Car Mechanic Simulator' (or what game it is) i have decided to let it go and stop making videos of this" or something like that just to let us viewers know so we don't wait for a video that's not coming. :) Thank you for all your time and effort putting in all this really enjoying watching your videos and streams!

I first started watching your videos of ETS2 and that's what pushed me to get it, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I started following you and try to watch all the videos you post. The Car Mechanic Sim 2014 was good and you seemed to enjoy it. When you started doing the 2015 version, it seems you're not into it as much and it gets boring because it's the same jobs over and over before you level up and do something different. You introduced Elite: Dangerous, and it looked stunning. I got into that after your videos, and again I love that game, along with Astra. Why not add in some more Elite videos for KZbin? How about Squirrel's Pearls for the Q&A? Keep up the great work Paul!

I found out that if there is an advertisement before the video starts wait for the advertisement be over and then close the video and then you click the video again and there aren't any advertisements throughout the whole video

"Shooting the Squirrel". I like many of the Nut House ones, so to add to the list how about "In the Nut House", "Life in the Nut House" or "Live From the Nut House". "Tails of the Squirrel" or "The Squirrels Tails" BTW, ads don't bother me as I usually have the YT on while making breakfast/dinner so it's like a normal show. The daughters like them too (unless they kidnap the iPad to watch Beiber videos). As for new games, I wouldn't like to see a huge amount, other than for a new gen racing title. One idea would be a series showing the new racers like Assetto Corsa, Project Cars et al and going through their pros and cons before settling on one to do as a full series. Oh, and American Truck Sim when it comes out.

Hey Paul. Wow, a lot to talk about. I think you're bang on about the workload that you're going through. You need time to adjust and do things that you probably wanted to do while you were part time. It takes time and some people just can't wait and expect things right away. As for CMS 2015, if the views aren't there, then can it; or continue and if the views keep dropping then stop it, you have to. We who like it just have to deal with it, plain and simple. I like a "Q&A" type video every week, that's a good idea. For names: The Weekly Nutter, Squirrel Speaks, The Talking Tree, Tree Talk (where us nutters go to relax and speak to each other) Just a side comment, I like your schedule, first half of the week, you do videos. And then the latter half, stream. It seems to be working pretty well.

Your Q&A series could be called The Rambling Squirrel. It's going to be a casual video seeing you talk about various topics. Car Mechanic Simulator is the only thing I won't watch on your channel as it I find it mind-numbingly boring. I would love to see more videos of The Forest although I know there are issues with progress after the game is updated. I wouldn't have known of this game where it not for this channel and I was delighted to hear it's coming to PS4. I must say I love the honesty you put across in your videos - This one being a prime example. As I said on a stream before Paul, that second popup you got that you can pass the signal at danger (at the end of the video) is because you've entered a new block, which also has a signal at red at the end of it, so immediately when you enter that new block, you ask permission to pass the signal at the end of it. It's not because the 'period' ended or something like that, and that's exactly why you get the "pass at danger expired" notification a minute later, since you didn't enter the next block, and thus didn't pass the 'red' signal.

I'm going to write this as you talk about it, so bare that in mind. * Car Mechanic - Isn't exactly the most popular of games, it simply doesn't have scope for anything with any depth, that's not a you thing its a game thing type thing. * Flight Simulation - You've got that perfectly nailed, the only thing you could do to improve it is more 'real life' pilots videos, I'm really enjoying your discover episodes that has a lot of expansion possibilities, even flying in other countries with other online pilots, I'll let your imagination do the rest of the walking. * Descriptions - Unless you highlight something, I don't generally look as when the page loads the Descriptions are closed, so you don't see them unless you click "Show More", but that's a KZbin thing. (but I've used it from time to time) - For me your doing fine, in fact I'm quite gobsmacked that anyone would have the audacity to complain, so thank you for the entertainment.

I tend to mostly watch the videos you make of the games I play myself, which is mostly simulators. I love Train Simulator but can't play very well until i get a better computer, but ETS2 and Farming Simulator are the favorites. Your ETS2 videos are legendary.

Hi, I just can't understand why there are people out there complaining. Since 'discovering' your videos, you have provided me with hours of great, free entertainment. When you have a family it takes a lot of courage to give up the 'day job' and go for something like this full-time, I know, I have been there!! The problem is Squirrel that, if you end up doing what everybody else wants you to do and not do the things that you really want to do yourself, it will become a chore and you will just end up in a job that you no longer enjoy. That would be a great shame both for you and for all the dedicated viewers that you obviously have. If you enjoy car mechanic then play it! If others chose not to watch it then so be it. You are doing a fantastic job but you must be true to yourself, first and foremost. All best wishes for the future, Dave, Tenterden, Kent.

The series i like the most is Train Sim and P3D with Matt you two are hillarious together :) Name for the Q&A series tuff NUT to crack but here are a few suggestions. Squirrel Talks Close up: Paul Squirrel Squirrel Interactive Fireside with Paul And a food for thought Why not advertise your own homepage at the beginning of a new series incase of new people tuning in on your channel?? I personal love your videos whenever they come up, i understand that it can be quite hard to get situated before you can do the things you really want to. Yours was the 1st channel I subscribed to & through it I found other channels I now enjoy watching. YOTS is great for me as living in Aust I now get to watch more twitch streams that are not interrupted by work or sleep.😄 Although I enjoy Car mech sim I agree that all the effort you put in is not worth it if you aren't getting views. For this Q&A type thing you should make weekly questionnaires on straw poll so you can get data about what people believe should happen such as canning a series or not ! As for a name I am a bit rubbish at that kind of thing but something like Ask Squirrel would be good :) Hope this helps :)

i know that you like it when you can manually operate the train windows on ts2015 well i have found a train that you can do that on its the class 375 (eurostar) all you have to do is hover over the left window and pull up and it works :)

Been following since the ETS2 vid where you said "How'd you like fifty tons of steel up your [bum]?", and likely it won't ever change.
