Channel introduction, 99 Volvo S70 Door panel removal and repair part 1

An introduction to me and what I hope to make of this channel, and the first part of an ongoing project to re-finish the interior of my 1999 Volvo S70 AWD, starting with the bubbled (and broken) door panels. This video shows door panel removal and repair of a broken section - subsequent videos in this series will dive into removing the bubbled vinyl and reupholstering.

Can the speaker grill be removed without removing the whole panel ?

Sadly, no - it's meant to be a permanent part of the door panel. Replacing the speaker requires you to pull the whole door panel. The speaker grill attach points are exposed on the back of the door panel once the panel is off of the door. At that point the only way to remove the speaker grill is to grind down the plastic "rivets".

Working on it - the driver side door is completely upholstered now and it’s all filmed, just need to finish editing. Will have it up soon! 😁
