I would like to see a series about puzzle designing, how to come up with ideas which are solvable, and how to know how hard a puzzle is. The times i tried to design a puzzle it was either too hard to solve or too easy.

I'm excited about the new puzzle content, but don't stress yourself too much with it! A lot of KZbinrs feel like they have to do everything to keep to a schedule they thought they could handle but can't. If you feel like you can only get one or two (or no) videos done in a week because your home life is crazy, we 100% understand!

Wait, so MORE puzzle videos from the wonderfully fascinating FLEB?! Answers: Yes, yes, and yes! I first discovered you through Reddit. You only had about 5 videos or so, but they were so interesting and well designed that I knew I had to subscribe. Your pacing, cadence, the little title splash you put in your videos before you solve them so that those who want to solve the puzzle on their own are able to do so; such care and thought was put into each and every video. My vote (several hours after your upload, so I do hope my words reach you somehow), is to keep your style the same no matter the puzzle type you choose as your video topic. I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see any other type of strange, quirky, or overlooked puzzle receive your insight! Keep up the great work and I truly do wish you the best in the coming years!

Hey Fleb, just wanted to say I'm glad you'll be putting out more videos. You're a great youtuber with content that youtube is under saturated with. Keep up the great work!

Hi FLEB, I've watched all your videos and have never mentioned that I really like your video editing. When cut, you still leave a natural pause between sentences. Many KZbinrs do frantic cutting, making me feel like I'm being pounded with an onslaught of words; this causes me to feel exhausted and I typically close those videos shortly after. Thanks for keeping a good pacing of speech in your editing. It looks like you understand that keeping a viewer engaged doesn't necessarily mean maximizing words per minute.

As a game design student and avid video game player, I would be floored to learn more about the history and application of traditional puzzles in video games, as well as puzzles that can only be applied in video games! I would love to see a series exploring puzzles in games such as Professor Layton/Myst and many Horror Games (e.g. The 7th Guest, Silent Hill, Resident Evil).

don't force yourself to do too much during every week -- you're setting yourself up for burnout or a decrease in video quality. I suggest, at the very least, that you don't go from one video a week straight to 4, but perhaps to 2 at first, later 3 once adjusted to 2, and finally 4 if you'll still want it by then :) Personally I enjoy all of your content, and you release new videos often enough already. Though more is better, don't rush it!

Puzzles in video games is an amazing idea! Will be very difficult to get those out regularly though as you'd have to play through the games 1st. I suppose classic games like tetris wouldn't be too hard, but the more modern things might present a challenge. If I can make a suggestion for a game that has good puzzles (in my opinion) try "Limbo". I really enjoyed it and had to youtube the answers sometimes. Keep up the great content!

One great logic puzzle from games I'd love to see you cover is the Zebra puzzle used in Dishonored 2, if you do a video game series. Partly because it's a great game, but also a fantastic contrast of a logic puzzle compared to the prior Clockwork Mansion level, that was very much a 3D maze

I'm glad you're going to be pursuing more twisty puzzles. For that pesky 4x4x6 fisher cuboid it's going to take some progression for sure to get it. May I suggest this progression 3x3 3x3fisher 4x4 4x4fisher 3x3x4 4x4x6 4x4x6 fisher cuboid. You're going to get a crash course in all things parity related, multiple strategies for solving similar puzzles, and common algorithms and how they affect different variants of a family of puzzles. Good luck. pm me if I can be of any help!

I noticed when I was at Gencon this past weekend there was apparently a puzzle hunt thing going on, I saw two of the puzzles. Maybe one day you can visit a convention with a puzzle hunt event going on and solve the puzzles and then after the convention post the videos with all the solutions and how you worked them out.

What about some of those internet puzzles like Zahada or E.B.O.N.Y. where the answer to the current page is what you put into the URL to go to the next puzzle?
@edderiofer7 жыл бұрын
The "put it in the URL" can be considered merely an answer-checking mechanism. The puzzles themselves tend to be assorted or hunt-puzzley, so I'd think if FLEB covered them, he'd put them under the puzzlehunt category.

I'm writing a book about puzzles. It includes mechanical puzzles and twisty puzzles. I will like to know where can I find information about different twisty puzzles, metal puzzles, wooden (burr) puzzles and more. My goal is to educate people who love puzzles or people who are intimidated by them so they can get involved in the world of puzzles.
