Mad respect to the 12 Ari. I’m sure he will get heckled for his turntable but pay no attention to them. You have to start somewhere. Respect ✊
@peterrech230711 ай бұрын
No one has any right to heckle him for his choice of equipment, if it makes him happy that is all that matters. Most of us 60+ record collectors would have started with a console BSR turntable equipped stereo system. I did. Everyone has to start somewhere

I totally agree. There should be no hifi snobs. If someone has a Crossley Turntable and it works for them its fine. Its all about people being happy with what they use and not a competition.

I am 100% on board with this.
@seano21811 ай бұрын
Even if it harms the vinyl? Nah, save up. Good gear isn't that expensive! Besides, you justify spending so much on the vinyl itself, yet listen on subpar gear set up so poorly when all it takes is a little bit of information on how to set it all up properly to get the best experience you can for your money and yet, you let your ignorant ego get in the way and your setup sounds a quarter as good as it could. Why?!! It's not a competition, it's just getting the best experience you can with what you have. Would you drive around on flat tires? Because that's what you're doing and claiming it's as good as an experience as driving a Ferrari.

Budget turntables certainly have their place. I think a lot of people are concerned with physical media leaving us soon. Hopefully that won't be the case. I love my CDs, DVDs, and books. As always, great video Frank! Like Tom, I have a VERY small area for my listening pleasure. I actually share the room with my wife as it is mostly her office. Like Tom, I too have a Fluance RT-81 and a pair of Edifier powered speakers. With the small space, a receiver could possibly take up space. So, the RT-81 with the built in preamp works for me perfectly!

Hello Frank, great video......Interesting and varied systems. I agree with you on the point that it really does not matter what a person uses in their system so long as they like it. i would never criticize anyone's system no matter what my opinion was. Enjoy the music.

Astounding! Talk about "living the dream..." Those DCM Time Frame speakers were very well thought-of in their day (circa 1988). They were preceded in the late '70s by DCM's Time Window line, which also picked up some rave reviews. I actually have a pair of Time Frames stashed somewhere in my garage. This inspires me to see if I can dig them out!

I love looking at these vinyl dens. They’re amazing! I remember there being a Bang & Olufson shop in Manchester back in the 80s and 90s. I loved going in and looking at all the gear but no way could I ever afford it lol. I have my collection upstairs in a spare bedroom with my decks in the lounge so not really a dedicated listening space but who knows, maybe one day ! 😊

I love these videos with these music rooms. I currently own and live in a condominium so I am limited for space and have a small den with some of my CDs and an electric drum set but my dream is to own a house one day so I can have a basement to set up with a good stereo system, my drum sets and all my music (I have some of my CDs, but a lot of stuff is at my parents house). The way housing prices are currently in Ontario (Canada) though with the high interest rates in Canada, I think owning a home is a pipe dream. How are the housing prices out west where you live Frank?
@Channel33RPM11 ай бұрын
Houses are still attainable here... but I am glad we got in many years ago. Just the interest rates now are silly. I hope you get your place some day.
