Hey Its Brandon!! I'm super stoked to see my music space in this video. I'm slightly sad to report that I've actually moved since submitting these pictures as I've accepted a new teaching position in a different part of Colorado but I've got a pretty nice setup in my new home with all the same gear. I do miss the paint and the bar however. Oh well. Life goes on. Also, I play all the instruments you listed, but guitar is my main focus. Thanks Frank!

Brandon, I saw VCR tapes when Frank was describing your gear. One jumped out at me. Was that a lord of the rings tape in the bottom left of the cabinet?
@brandonware933510 ай бұрын
@@tompatchak8706 It was not. I do have both the theatrical and extended versions of LOTR on bluray though! My VCR is mostly for my VHS copies of the original Star Wars Trilogy without the horrible special edition updates!

I also sold my vinyl collection, but in my case it was a space issue. Things had to go, and since I didn't have anything to play the vinyls on anymore, I decided to sell. I was happy to find a very enthusiastic young lad to enjoy the records. And about people stop buying vinyl, it's not like we had a choice really, did we?. I worked at a Music World in the early 90's, and we didn't have a single vinyl record for sale while I was there. It was all tapes and CD's. You had to go to specialty shops, or buy used to get vinyl... It was like that here anyway...

Awesome to see those Denon DP turntables! I'd love to have one has well. My dad did the whole audio/video system of a penthouse back in the 80s before it was a thing and I have a photo of what looks to have a Denon turntable with fat plinth base. More photos I have to look for and compile finally into a photo album.

Love the channel Frank! Been a Sub quite a while, but don't comment much. The CD craze I did follow, But I held onto my Record Collection and Tape collection. Carried around100+ cassettes and my 125 Records for Decades! When I finally Became a Home Owner in 2010 at 40 yrs old, I started slowly getting back into Playing my Albums. Took me a few yrs to service my Amp and Tuner and hook up a turntable. Then all my love for it slowly came back. The last year I upgraded to a Technics SL1200GR and a pair of JBL L52 Classic and loving it. Keep Doing You! Peace and Love from Rhode Island U.S.A. aaayyyy

Dolby Atmos for movies has been around for a while. Atmos for music is getting more popular every day. Hackney Diamonds, Peter Gabriel and a ton of re-releases like Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Prince, Tears For Fears, Yello, etc., etc. Also, SDS (Super Deluxe Edition) in the UK have a limited edition series out called The Surround Series that are re-releases all in Dolby Atmos. Most releases have Hi-Res Atmos, 5.1, Stereo and Alternate mixes on them. Most of the hi-rez streamers have Atmos also but I tend to stick with physical copies. Rhino also has the Quadio Series out (8 titles so far) that are blu-ray based hi-res Quadrophonic albums from back in the day. All pretty cool.

Cool rooms! I'd like to see some examples of a office plus music listening room setup! On my desk I have a a couple nice powered speakers connected to my Mac Mini. Sounds great, but I want to do better. I spend too many hours working at the desk and want to have a better setup than just a DAC/Speakers connected to a computer. Any good examples out there?

People are not selling their CD collections to buy vinyl records as you think fella! There was an article wrote late last year from the UK that spoke on just how popular vinyl is! Vinyl dollar figures were the highest of CDs yes, but units shipped/sold was/is dominated by CDs! What was it, last RSD when Van Hagar Right Here live album was put on vinyl for the first time? Four red lp set I think & it was being priced at or around $100 U.S.! The CD priced at $20! To hit that $100 mark, 5 CDs have to be sold. Let’s say only 3 CDs were sold though from the same store that sold the vinyl! Let’s say this is just one months worth. You have one vinyl sale $100 & 3 CD sales totaling $60! What format proved to be the more popular there? You can’t go by dollar amount only, you have to look at the whole picture! I will always pick the cheaper, better sounding format everyday of the week! Vinyl is. It only overpriced but extremely overhyped!
