Thank you. My heating is fixed now and I can have a bath, though I use the water for flushing the toilet afterwards to save money. I have just washed 30 pairs of pants, some of them probably the sames ones as on the film.

Oh dear, such nasty comments about me, from those who know nothing about me. My central heating does now work, I had a Warm Front Grant. I still wear boys underpants. I have managed to save enough money with my scrimping ways to pay my mortgage off. Laugh at me all you like, but I'm the winner.

People hide behind their computers and say such terrible things-words they would never say to someone in public. It is all so cowardly. I don't thing there is anything wrong with what you are doing!! It is absolutely the truth that female underwear is made very thin and shoddy, and if you are seeking some thicker material and durability-why not wear men's underpants!! I don't understand why people are being cruel about washing up with a kettle and a tub-honestly, this is the way most of the world clean themselves! At least you are clean!! I can't tell you how many smelly, dirty people I have met that have working showers and tubs-they have NO excuse. And I am so happy to hear that you have everything sorted out with your heat now. You seem like a very lovely person-it would be an honor to meet a nice person like you.

Thank you Mary. Yes the heating is sorted, I got a free boiler, water tank, cavity wall insulation, and loft insulation, with a Warm Front Grant. My bills are still low though because I am careful with how I use them. ilona

I would love to be able to talk to this lady to get some money saving tips from here. I think her 'boy's pants idea is great if no-one is going to see them; good for her. I am currently un-employed and paying the 'bedroom tax'. After water rates, gas, electricity, internet connection and council tax payments I'm finding it increasingly difficult to to cope financilly whilst looking for another job. I've had to give up my TV to reduce my bills and I'm surprised to find that after the initial shock, I don't miss it! Job hunting and attending interviews, (by public transport), really puts a strain on my meagre income. It is essential to have an internet connection at home if you're a serious job hunter - which I am. I too strip wash, but in my bathroom. I bath twice a week. I am also frugal with heating and always put on more clothes rather than turn on my gas fire. I actually hate central heating, it gives me a headache and other people's homes always seem too hot to me. Every year my housing association try to talk me into having central heating installed and every year I have to explain why I don't want it, starting with the fact that my rent will increase by more annually than I currently pay for heating, and that would mean that I'm paying for it to just be sitting there doing nothing. Then on top of that I would also have to add the cost of actually using it! Madness: but some would think I'm crazy not to have central heating. When I have guests I heat the areas that they will be in and ask that they bring their slippers and an extra jumper: I'm not short of visitors by the way. We all waste far too much of everything in my opinion. To those who have made nasty spitefull comments about this lady, I say: go learn some manners and remember we all have a right to make our own decisions about the way we live if it doesn't encroach on other people's enjoyment of life. Good for you Meenkween, you are most certainly the winner!

I have heard people who lived no electricity holly lot he's no plumbing died and we're millionaires left all thier money to universities or animals so when they were alive they had m one to live comfort a ble chose to live without basic necessities but mean queen seems content good for her

@@levimacdonald5188 in the midst of a world wide pandemic you find time and energy to scribble a line in reference to a mere second of detachment in thought, you must be a joy to live around, I assume you remain in the bosom of your mother, a clear end sight is in place to replace your mothers live with a budgie or two, a mother's love should be cherished, not spent frivalosly, love is seamless in guage and opacity with hidden levels pasted on your conscious that gathers the fallen moss whilst easing the pain of a spent existence lived in turmoil and aggression towards thoughts that scorn the beliefs you have held long and close, a troubled soul makes a bed fellow for the fallen and aggrieved, you can of course level with yourself in times of stress and become the person you crave and the moment of release will becone others to your side, a life well spent is indeed a triumph for all who witness it.
