Here are the facts….. Newsome has done nothing to collect rain water even though he was allocated millions to put rainfall collection reservoirs and drainage to them in place, Southern California was drenched last year with record rainfalls and barely any was collected, there is no drought in Southern California.! All lakes and rivers are full. Forest floors are left to nature so dead dry trees lay around along with other dry tinder. This leads to Fire access roads being impassable and maintenance around power lines unworkable. Other forest countries like Canada and Austria etc don’t have a wildfire problem cause they manage their forest floors that prevent wildfires. Blaming climate change on this in January is a joke.! This was either caused by human mistake, a cigarette or campfire or unmaintained power lines hitting trees in the high winds.!

First of all, huh? Canada doesn’t have a wildfire problem? There have been plenty of fires in Canada. I know there have because we in the east were downwind from the fires up in Quebec a couple years back. We dont know what caused this fires as far as a trigger, it likely was due to a human error but to act like the changing climate isn’t a factor in why these fires are so catastrophically bad is short sighted. The county hasn’t had any rain since May of last year. Southern California is getting drier and drier - why? Because the climate there is changing, that’s what the data shows us. That also puts a wrench in the whole collecting rainwater thing when you don’t have any rainwater to collect in the first place.

If we can all stop fighting about the reasons, and agree to stop making the situation worse (althought this kind of makes an agreement about reasons necessary), we may be able to resolve solutions or, at least, mitigations. Got to keep political posturing out of it, though. This is a problem only science can tackle. How about: it could be drought, it could be human activity both long and short term, it could be because we haven't been sweeping forest floors, it could be really short sighted water management, it could be just a natural planetary cyclical thing, etc. Unless scientists agree that addressing one of those issues is significantly counter productive - address them all and ignore the politicians that use suffering to elevate themselves.

So, in Commifornia over the past 30-40+ years, they've - shut down their entire forestry industry which was a critical partner in proper forest management - banned almost all controlled & proscribed burns to control excess build up of available fuel loads - totally ignored their now 100-120+ year old crumbing infrastructure - failed to maintain city & county water supplies - allowed continual encroachment of housing & commercial building into heavily forested & dense brush areas - implemented 0 "fire smart/safe" policies to put literally ANY kind of fire protection within the borders of areas built into fire prone areas - reduced the budgets for fire departments But sure, let's blame this on farting cows and the middle class for driving their cars to their jobs >.>

That's an unfair argument. The military actually does work to keep American civilians safe, including undocumented ones. Just like there are civilians who refuse to follow laws, there are sometimes groups of people that refuse to follow laws. It's not merely propaganda that threats against the United States exist. Maybe not all the threats can be spoken about, but the govt wouldn't simply waste its money, though I'm sure it happens on occasion. People speak about military spending without realizing what it's spent on. Most of it is to protect soldiers.
