The dog is a young dog and is playing, he is not attacking anyone. He needs training but is not aggressive in the slightest. To consider rehoming him is irresponsible. I'm fed up with owners blaming their dogs. He isn't biting, you'd need stitches if he did,he's mouthing. He is hard-mouthed but with correction and age will grow out of it.

@@anabellaveselinovic9679 If a dog is hard mouthed it needs behavioral training, never putting down. If its breaking the skin that becomes a bite and is a different matter. Anyone having problems like the ones shown in the video should ask their vet to put them in touch with a behaviourist. In the U.K. pitbulls are not allowed and any dog deemed a pit bull is seized by the police and euthanized, which is utterly wicked. Punish the deed not the breed.

Exactly. Unless there are biological reasons ( brain tumour, cocker rage, hormonal issues ) there are very rarely "bad dogs," usually the fault lies with the owners, or in this case also with the owner's mother!

If the woman already had anxiety I don't know what her daughter was thinking in getting a puppy, especially if she doesn't know how to train a dog, they should've adopted an older dog or have the daughter bring the dog to behaviour classes.

You realise that breeders do provide therapy dogs as well as “normal” dogs. Like us, they probably chose a therapy dog expecting him to help her mum’s anxiety, but has ended up going haywire. Same as we chose a therapy dog, to help both me and my brother. I also have anxiety. We have also been having real issues with ours going after our feet, hence why I am watching this video. Hopefully he will grow out of his foot fetish like Butty. But yes like us they probably expected a therapy dog but then ended up having real issues with him loving our feet. Hopefully ours will grow out of it soon once he leaves his puppy days, but in case he doesn‘t I am watching these little tutorials from Graeme. :)

First of all: use a choke lead to make it uncomfortable for the dog to pull on it. Then do like Cesar Millan does. When the dog is jumping on you on your left hand side, use your right heel (or vice versa) to hit/kick the dog on the ribs to snap the dog out of that mental state. The pain or discomfort coming from the kick will be a mental reminder to deter the dog from jumping on you in the future.
@hrichards95624 жыл бұрын
This is abusive and completely unnecessary. Just look at “Guide Dogs for the Blind” - some of the best trained dogs on the planet and trained solely via positive reinforcement training - no kicking, no choke collars, no abuse. There is no excuse for abusive “training” like this, it is not necessary, outdated, and harmful.
