As someone with severe chronic pain, it gives me so much joy to see anyone, esp. animals, getting treatment for their pain. It just ruins your life, particularly without help. Certainly an odd affliction, going for bins and whatnot after associating them with pain but the retractable lead being put aside and the new meds are welcome. This is an area where buttons are really useful: the dog can press OUCH and then we know to look for pain and/or book in with a vet (i.e. like Bunny the talking dog, she'll remind her mum when she's forgotten her stomach meds by pressing UGH and MEDICINE on her button board). Neat!

Hi everyone, this is a strange one. One of the few things Ive learned is that the longer the lead the more speed thrust they get. No retractable leashes please.

Ganz besonders nicht nicht in Verbindung mit dem Gentle Leader, der durch den starken Ruck die Halswirbelsäule gefährdet! Das würde alles noch viel schlimmer machen für den Hund.

Harnesses make it much easier for a dog to lean into and pull harder. Every dog is different, however l.

If you have a dog (or yourself) with arthritis, remember it just means inflammation of the joint. There are 2 types, osteo, where the joint is worn, and rheumatoid, where it's just inflamed. In either case, reducing the inflammation reduces the pain. Don't hide the issue with pain killers, remove the issue! So what causes inflammation? In most cases, just like us, (assuming no injury) it's diet related. Dogs fed highly processed grain laden dry crap, labelled dog food, is usually the cause. Feed your dog real food, (look up the BARF diet) and be shocked at how your dog changes. No dental issues, small firm poo that doesn't smell, no doggy breath, shiny fur and so on. Our animals get the same illnesses as us because we all eat carb based, highly processed nutrient poor foods when we are designed to eat whole foods and plenty of meat...

Those retractable leashes should be banned! They are dangerous to humans and dogs and they give you no control at all. There is a town near me (in Canada) where they are not allowed. I hope that ban spreads.

What am I seeing? Clearly the dog has a thing for bins, so what do they do? Take him out on a retractable lead. That is absolute stupidity to me. Go to places they know where the bins are to avoid them. Seriously, this is simple common sense.
