I was playing legacy once and drew Iona in my opening hand along with reanimate. I was on the draw so i skipped playing my first land in order to discard Iona and then reanimate her on turn 2. That is one of my favorite memories ever.

I wish Phage would have been on this list. Her big ability just screams "legendary" to me. If you hit your opponent...the game is over. How much more legendary can you get than an Alt Win legend?

HaydenX i never understood that rule seriously we've already seen that planeswalkers can survive the deathtouch atleast the patriach's version of the death touch. In that jeska survived it and became phage. Why would phages touch destroy another planewalker. Especially when kamahl manages to survive it.

Back in the day my friend bought cards and made a deck around him. My friend didn't have many cards. I told him he should cut down the colors and just use 2 colors but he didn't listen. I crushed him and he didn't listen because he wanted to get him out. He never did, he ended up selling me his cards.

I used Arcanus in Commander once and it actually helped me win against 6 other players.

That's because Arcanis is one of the best blue creatures available for the commander format. He, Venser, Teferi, Consecrated Sphinx, Baral, and arguably Jin-Gitaxis are among the best blue has to offer as multiplayer EDH cards. I'm probably forgetting some really good ones though.

I remember starting playing around Fallen/Ice Age & thought "who is this "Marit Lage?" Later printing of Dark Depths is pretty flavorful. An evil planeswalking non-planeswalker?! Legendary.

Karn the Silver Golem is a legendary creatures from Urza's saga. the fact that he becomes a planeswalker makes him all the more legendary.

He/she didn't put it in the best wording, but makemepop did say that Day destroys Progenitus. If you read the entire comment, as was requested of you, it says "Thing is, Day of Judgment doesn't do any of those things, so it still dies." What makemepop was saying was that Progenitus has protection from what Day of Judgement is, but then noted that even though it has protection from it, that protection is irrelevant because of what Day does. Please don't flame people. It's not any fun.

Eldrazi Green vs. Turbo Fog My best friend generates a shit ton of mana and hard-casts Emrakul. I couldn't do anything but...sacrifice my Spore Frogs with a Lifeline on the board. Emrakul was Annihilating his way through my permanents, but they'd just keep coming back. The only time I've ever seen an Emrakul not only cast, and not only played, but on the losing side of the board.

Funny. LSV said that Elesh Norn wasn't worthy of being a mythic rare in the Hit or Myth video for the set and just a short time later he's putting her on the list of all-time legendary creatures. We all make mistakes!

for any of you that might think different you can go wizards.com and find out but i promise progenitus does die to wrath/damnation/ all creature effects not targeting him, that rule does not apply with anything else though you need a wrath effect to kill him, unlike ermakul which you can get rid of in a few different ways. but on that note i think they should have put the 3 eldrazi legends in the same rank spot..ulamog,kozilek, and emrakul

Both? She was Akroma's equal in fight! The only thing that managed to kill her was her own creation, with which Akroma was killed too! Cardwise? That's the biggest effect you could give to a card! If she touches someone, you win. Sure, it's hard to pull off, but the effect IS legendary! If Akroma's on the list, Phage sure as hell should be too! I personally don't think Baron Sanguir should be in there. But, that's not my list. Kudos on ChannelFireball's work still!

By legendary i think LSV means like its has SO much flavor that it had to be legendary, And there are no other cards like it.

well Progenitus can never be in the graveyard (it will be put back into the library). But it could be countered with a Dissipate, or removed from the game with Slaughter Games or something similar.

Progenitus does have protection from Day of Judgment and from Karn's ultimate though. It has protection from EVERYTHING!!! ...The point is that 'protection' restricts what the ability does, not 'everything'. Therefore, it can't be damaged, equipped, fortified, enchanted, blocked or targeted by ANYTHING!!! Not even Day of Judgment. Thing is, Day of Judgment doesn't do any of those things, so it still dies.

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and Progenitus = gods. Akroma = a servant of a god. So the epicness level is different. Btw i don't think Shaun and Luis remember but Sol'kanar the Swamp King was the dude to play back in the day not blackblade. On this list i have played nearly all these Legends as Generals and Arcanis is by far the most fun/powerful(except Emrakul)... Mono blue control tribal wizards in EDH is super fun.

Actually, Emrakul is a she, because apparently the Eldrazi actually have gender. Crazy, I know. Interestingly, the only Legendary in there 8 with a defined gender that isn't female is the Baron.

no you are wrong if you were to read the errata for "protection for everything", you would learn that everything actually applies to being targeted, from colored and colorless spells and permanents, and being blocked or takeing damage by them. So, next time please know what your talking about because usernamesaregay222 is actually right. Progenitus is affected by world effects such as Day Of Judgement, Wrath Of God, Detention Sphere, Karn, so Progenitus would be gone.
