Really a treat to see all these games. I learn a lot every time I watch you play. One thing I've found about the Red Prowess match-up is that Plague Engineer is pretty effective as a blocker and also can combo with Wrenn and Six to kill creatures. Not sure if my sideboarding is correct but that's how I've been running it.

brick brick brick brick brick ... certainly variance was against me this match. Dude has so much restraint. After the 5th land in a row against GDS I would have thrown something
@anonofyesterday46505 жыл бұрын
I never understood what makes people tilt because of variance in magic. Yeah it sucks when it happens as it limits your influence on the outcome of the game but since you can't do anything productive about it better to not waste time thinking about it.
@Setixir5 жыл бұрын
@@anonofyesterday4650 The whole don't care if you can't control is great in practice and I subscribe to it as much as I can... That said sometimes you just get annoyed.
@anonofyesterday46505 жыл бұрын
@@traycarrot I guess I wasn't precise enough. Yes, I understand why people can tilt when loosing a game to randomness. What I don't get is why they still do so even after playing the game for months or years. Obviously some people will react more strongly to bad luck while others will be less influenced by it but everyone can try and work on handling these situations better. I'm not "some third eye zen monk" so from time to time I get annoyed by things like loosing to opponent who made several obvious mistakes but getting annoyed is the end of it. I play mtg to get better (and possibly win some monetary prizes) but even when recently shuffling luck robbed me out of "guaranteed" top 8 in pauper challenge my first thought was "oh well, maybe next time".

Pretty solid matches Reid. I follow all of your content and during the Titian shift match I think your gut instinct of just using your fulminator mage on Valukult would have been the best. Then you have alpine moon to name field of the dead and your prolly just won since he can’t make any zombies after that and your bloodbraids are free to just roam. Your Lilly then cleans up the Titian and the baloth after that. Trying to cut a ramp deck off green just seemed a little too cute and going for their namesake card was prolly the best play. You would have also still had the confidant working hard!!! Excellent content as always and thanks for the great commentary as always it was excellent.
@wshayne5 жыл бұрын
They just would have gotten valakut off the Titan at that point, the only reason they didn't was because moon was on it.

I feel like the last few Jund videos of Reid's I've watched he has had some substantial mana issues. I realise that Wren and Six probably means you can play fewer lands but maybe there is room to put an extra in.

He's already playing 24, where people often play 23. I don’t know why he’s so incredibly unlucky.

I experienced that as well though. I have played a couple of leagues with w&6 jund and got extremely frustrated with constant mana issues, which I did not have in pre-w&6 lists. I really dont know what is is though, as it should have enough lands
@baloonman55 жыл бұрын
@@maximiliangerlich it's probably fewer Bob. Since you're not drawing as many cards per game on average, you hit fewer land drops on average. I wouldn't know how to fix that problem since w&6 is probably better than Bob, but I think that's where the problem is.

1:29:30 does anyone know why he didnt attack with everything except for one zombie? reid would have had to block at least one elemental and one zombie. that would mean he would either not be able to block an elemental dead or would lose a goyf AND the elf. and that would give the opponent one card under bomat courier without the risk of dying next turn
