I have played against a deck with dramatic finale and blot out the sky. Unfortunately for them, my witherbloom deck had containment breach in sideboard, which I pulled out and destroyed dramatic finale after one round. Then they cast blot out the sky, where I cast culling ritual destroying three inklings, one spirit token and a two drop, clearing their side of the board and winning the game eventually. I felt sorry for my opponent for that match, but surely they would have taken seven wins with that deck.

Many opponents don't know how to evaluate the board against Dramatic Finale + Pest. They continuously not treat the tokens as real 2/2s even though they have no way to deal with the enchantment in their deck. Then they refuse to trade with it and just allow it to stall them indefinitely

P1P1... i've played against this card. It did not go well. There's not much enchantment removal in bo1 either. It basically reads "If you cast this card and it resolves, you win the game."

Notably Introduction to Annihilation removes Dramatic Finale.

The card is certainly bonkers, but as @RConnickJr notes there are some lessons that can deal with it. Containment breach, Intro to annihalation, Reduce to memory. I guess in a convoluted way mercurial trasnformation can kill it together with a removal spell. Mortality spear and rip apart are non lessons that can deal with it. Though with the exception of intro all of those cards are uncommon ;) And lessons get harder and harder to get since people figured out it is really good to have a diverse lessons wishboard, not just the summonings. Though to reiterate this is still one of the biggest bombs in the entire set for limited :)

@@S0nyb1ack It's absurd. I think I'm like 1-4 against resolved dramatic finales. and the 1 was when I had divine gambit. I've still never beaten a resolved blot out the sky though. I think blot is my pick for strongest limited card in the set.

​@@danmcgoogleaccount6954 Yeah blot out the sky is certainly a beating. I've beaten it once, but I had a good semi agressive start. And my opponent couldn't remove a Quintorius, Field Historian, who made an even bigger army of 4 / 2 ground spirits, which got me to the victory in the last possible turn (the top card of my opponents deck was an Approach of the second sun which has been cast once before ;)). But of course that was a pretty lucky game from my perspective...

Rip Apart is probably the best answer in the format and its in the weakest colour pair other than that its basically unbeatable if you have a couple of creatures out when you cast it, especially considering the amount of removal in BW.

No, so much of the Draft hinges only on the cards opened since there are so many gold cards only specific decks can use. Additionally half of the colour combinations are less viable/unplayable by default.

Being high on study break doesn't mean I can understand playing the 2nd one over a 1st Hunt for Specimens - at least in particular if you are going to be playing the "more control" ver. of the deck here. Since when is Revitalize a card you had to actually cut, much less consider running ... and Inquisition of Kosaleck.. wtf? I feel like I'm constantly being fed that Xyz card is an absolute F just so that LSV can run around and 7-0 running Path to the World tree first pick like its gotta be pretty easy to always have the meta deck when you influence and bend it being such a pillar of the community

Lsv have you ran into the bug with ecological appreciation. Many people have had a problem with the card. Have you had this issue?

​@@Frommerman No, you're thinking of Environmental Sciences. Ecological Appreciation is the mythic green sorcery that's kinda like Gifts Ungiven but for creatures.

Dude what is with the whiplash card highlights. It’s like you are trying to only highlight a card for less than a second in order for people not to read the cards. It hurts my eyes. Just highlight the card as you talk about it like normal.
