Rising cost is definitely an issue. The recent debate on hawkers and hawker food is a good indication. The hawker centres managed by social enterprises are high rent in order to get back their money paid. The Hawkers are at receiving ends. I have heard some hawkers are being charged 20c per bowl washed. Imagine how this will drive costs and behaviours of the hawkers. Is 20c per plate at cost or is another initiative to take money from the hawkers again?

Sparrow(SG) is small but complete. Sparrow(SG) can leverage on strength of eagle(USA) when condition(uni-polar world) is right. Sparrow(SG) can never think of taking down the up and coming star, a peregrine falcon(China) when the environment have changed(multi-polar world). Instead it should focus on its internal health(internal politics, inflation) before it fell sick. Australia once have a PM which is China focus and when the switch president, they becomes USA focus which now China also dislike. Internal politics will affects who lead(which political party) but whether the party can work w China, Russia and BRICS depends on the foreign policy of the countries under the political party. Usually when there is a change of leadership(like Biden -->trump), the relationship towards countries will change as a result. Is the ruling party propogenda to tie election result to countries relationship(smart move), but there is really very little consequences. In fact if there is a change in political party, the relationship is more likely to be re-assessed. The ruling should learn to take ownership of its bad policy internally and foreign policy rather then pointing finger to everyone else except for themselves.
