I started KZbin then immediately stopped cause I was like I HAVE NO TIME AND IM SO BAD AT EVERYTHING AH!!! but now I think I'm gonna start again because even though I'm not perfect, the only way to get better is practice. I have to stop worrying about what other people want and try to have fun doing what I want.

A big reason why I have been putting it off is because I´m bilingual and don´t know in what language to do my videos in, English or Spanish? D: I´ve been debating over it for years, I consider English is more universal and might reach more people, and also people from where I live will less likely see my videos (feel embarrassed starting and finding out someone from college could see me online haha). But sometimes I wanna talk about certain stuff that is more local/regional. Thought about adding CC subtitles.
@natasharose7 жыл бұрын
Lucia Piriz definitely do both! If you speak mainly in English you can reach more people, but you can add Spanish subtitles, as well as Spanish translations for the title and description :)
@wr0ngintherightways7 жыл бұрын
English will definitely give you a broader reach but personally I love when bilingual youtubers throw in their other language here and there, makes me feel better about procrastinating on YT when I'm learning something haha, e.g. Asia Jackson and her Tagalog
@integritycode40887 жыл бұрын
I'm totally on the same page! Right now, I'm just making them in english and when I have something I feel comfortable with (a better rhythm and structure to how I record) , I'm considering then going back, translating and bulk recording in Spanish and just having the translated videos in separate playlists. I see no reason not to release duplicates, it's going to be different in spanish and is meant for a different language community. Between cultural-linguistics and the vastly different ways we express ourselves as bilingual speakers, I think it's a HUGE opportunity to cater to both of our respective cultural identities without losing authenticity by creating dual videos (1 in english, and one in spanish). Side note: it also helps bridge people together, because two people who may not have a good enough language skill to talk to each other will have video topics to connect with each other over and help with communication.

Thank you for this quick yet informative video!! You had some great tips! I like how you said don’t wait until you have everything together to start your KZbin channel. That is a major key!!! I know I was very hesitant of starting my channel because I didn’t have xyz or better yet couldn’t afford all the equipment. I just started recording with iPhone and still do that to date. My goal is to get a good camera, backdrop/clean background, and lighting so my messages can be professionally explained but until that time come... I will continue doing what I have been doing to remain consistent. Thanks again for this awesome video!!
