To allow Islamic law, means you need to allow for Christian law, Traditional Law, Paganism law, etc. So that there is Islamic law in Nigerian legal system is already a fraud. I see this as a massive issue for the earth as a whole. Lets say a city on the cost has multiple religious groups living there. The one community wants to wear unacceptable beach clothing at the beach. It's not allowed by the other religious group who is in political control. In reality, one group is impacted by the others religious belief. How do you separate Islam law from politics? They are the same. The root of both religions is to convert the non believer. Do you make a law that says you must not try to convert the non believer? They must chose on their own? They have the right to wear a bathing suit down the streets until they become one or the other. I don't see how these can co exist together. It seems the extremist on both sides will always be at war. It's difficult enough when it's a country. With borders that can be controlled. If you don't like the law stay away. A line in the sand at the beach, on the border will not stop looking. A would of Islamic law or a world of Christian law or a world of no religion, which would be better for peace? We would find another reason to fight.
