me too . the world was a better place with him in it. He has such a passion for wildlife and their environment. I saw him in concert back in the 70's , He was such a personable person.

He may have been the greatest singer ever, but he was not the best person ever. That is nonsense. Like all of us, John was human, and had feet of clay. He cheated on his wife, he smoked so much pot he nearly wrecked his voice at one point, he drank far, far too much alcohol. He made a lot of bad decisions in his last eighteen years. He made a lot of mistakes, and his life was all downhill, really from the time he cheated on Annie until the end. I liked John. I liked him a lot, and I loved his voice, and the songs he chose to sing. But he was NOT the best person ever, or even the best person at any time, or any place. He was just a man with a huge talent, and an unfulfilled longing. There were many questions he couldn't answer, and he was never quite satisfied with his own life.

They made Live in London' lp from this footage. It's so amazing to see and hear it uncut. They should have made that a double album and instead they cut it to bits to fit on one record.

John had his best sound live with these musicians. It's a pity he dropped all if them for Elvis band. Don't get me wrong, Elvis band are great but they took the rustic feel away from this. This is John and co at their very best in my opinion.
