At least she had a funeral.
@awriter4theman Жыл бұрын
@@lianecornils6603 And just what does that mean? Of course we gave our beloved mother a funeral!!! Did you think we just put her in a trash bag and set it curbside? I don't understand this and I don't appreciate it either.
@charlotte50224 Жыл бұрын
A friend of ours sang this song at my mother's funeral, as well. Since Aliane... has not replied, guess we'll never know for sure why they said that. But do you suppose perhaps Aliane lost a loved one to Covid, at the height of the Pandemic? You know in many places funerals were not allowed for quite a few months? And, on top, of their loved one dying all alone with no family, in a hospital, the families also weren't allowed to gather to hold a funeral. I don't know, but perhaps that's that person meant?
@awriter4theman Жыл бұрын
@@charlotte50224 Then they should explain in FULL what they meant. I still grieve over the loss of my mother and always will. She had a beautiful send off. If they lost someone that way, I extend my heartiest sympathies but would not respond the way they did.

Sometimes it seems to me that songs are just there in the air, created directly by God and in the wait for someone capable of deciphering it. This is in my opinion the case of all John Denver's enlightened music: a gift of God to His sons through the voice of one of His Angels.

I have in the past wonder if John could ever do any gospel songs/albums... I can only wish there were more. One thing though is we need to find ways to witness to those who don't think the church is the answer when all we can do is sing a song that nudges them to find that answer in Christ.

John Denver was not a religious man - he said this MANY times!!! He said he did believe in God - as well as Jesus - just not any specific version of any specific church - he said he was spiritual - not religious!!!!! He also said his music was NOT Country/Western - it was simply Western!!!! He was one of the lucky ones - he was born with a "pitch perfect" voice - he couldn't hit a sour note if he tried!! (You cannot develop a pitch perfect voice - you are either born with one or you will never have one!!! And if you are born with one - you can only put a shine on it!!! A "pitch perfect" voice is when your mouth, teeth, throat, lungs, tongue and voice box are all perfectly aligned - and they make a dentist VERY nervous - one small mistake and it is gone forever!!!!!!!!!;-) John Denver once turned an RCA studio piano using only his voice!!!! Later that day - it was tuned by the RCA normal professional piano tuner - with an oscilicope and an expensive set of tuning forks - and every note on the piano was perfectly tuned!!! "Pitch perfect" voices are extremely rare - about 1 person in every 250,000,000 people world wide have a "pitch perfect" voice - and not all people that have "pitch perfect" voices are singers!!! "Pitch perfect" voices draw the human ear to the voice - we humans simply love to hear a pitch perfect voice talk or sing (we ALWAYS listen - as we are drawn to the voice) - Elvis Presley, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and Beverly Sills also had pitch perfect voices!!!! But be very careful - Adolph Hitler had a pitch perfect voice - and so does Justin Beiber - so he's gonna be around for a while!!!!!

Peace and Blessings.... Mark 12:30 “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” Psalms 104:33 “I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” Luke 21:25-31 "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
