When I was in my pre-kindergarten years, one of my older sisters was just finishing her nursing degree - (huge age gap, yes!) - and the sister in between used to take one of our older sister's syringes that they used for practising on grapefruits, and put a drop of every kind of alcohol from our mom & dad's liquor cabinet in there, and then squirt it down the back of my throat, and tell me that it was cough syrup! Imagine....I wasn't even 5 years old yet! It was a very, very small amount of alcohol, but still....

As kids, mx friend and I made "French fries with Currywurst" (a simple Bratwurst with curry powder in a ketchup-based sauce). Only it was made of bread pieces, some rolled up ham or salami, various sauces and fruit juices from the fridge, various snacks found in the closets such as chocolate, chips and gummy bears, and toothpaste. In the end, it looked like the inside of a used diaper, and it tasted exactly like you imagine it would (the diaper, I mean).
