Chant of the Mystics: Divine Gregorian Chant "Signum Magnum" - lyrics & notes

Signum Magnum is the title of the Gregorian Chant for the Introit of the Feast of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, in August 15 and was given in 1951. It is similar to Puer Natus, the chant used for the Introit for Christmas Day. Joyous, while observing the solemnity of the feast, Signum Magnum is drawn from the opening of Revelation 12 in Sacred Scripture.

I truly is. I’m what some would call a “dreamer” but it’s so much more than that. I am a devout Catholic and have always found comfort in the chants. Not only by the beautiful lyrics and sound. But by the intensity of the praises to God. I may not spk Latin but it is so much better sung in Latin. Besides no matter what the language through faith you know God His is the language of the heart. Which everyone knows. A language that is not a language of earth at all. He is so awesome!!!! The Bible itself already confirms there are by name at least four, and unequivocally even many more besides. After a long journey searching for a denomination to join, it was this song which inspired me to go to the Catholic Church. There I was taken in by the priest/pastor of that church who teaches me once every two weeks about Catholicism and helps me with bible study to grow in faith which will eventually lead to my baptism. Being a Muslim I'm reminded of the fact that Muslims and Christians have lot of things in common. We Muslims believe that Jesus Christ (Prophet Essa PBUH) was one of the greatest prophets of all time. As a child I read stories in Quran about Jesus of his marvellous miracles. This divine music brings back those memories. Christian brothers should also read Quranic translations, it will bring them closer to Jesus. My deepest love for the composers and Mystic singers ❤❤❤❤

When I first found this chant I really just focused on the beauty of it. After finding the lyrics though I am now shaken to my core. Revelation chapter 12 speaks of a sign in the heavens which most believe to be of marry. If you research the child which is born in the sign then you will find the son to be the church!! The harpazo of Gods chosen body is soon at hand. Gods voice is as loud as a trumpet!! Maranatha!!

I listened to your singing of Signum Magnum at night, then in the morning I went to church wearing an azure blue dress and there I saw everything in azure blue and a sign saying Be My Sign of Mercy. So amazing. I praised the Lord for He has done wonderful things. Among them, He has saved a woman that was about to be stoned to death. And I would love Jesus just for that, but He has done that and much more. In addition, I said a prayer to honor our beloved prophets, the chosen ones of God. @Patrick Lenk Music I am currently in my 24th year of active duty service in the US Army. I am proud of my profession, but the emotional struggle for peace and normalcy are ever present for me. I have seen, smelled, touched, and done things in Haiti, Iraq, and Afghanistan that haunt me. I have difficulties shutting my brain off at night, leading to very little rest. What I love most about your work is one (or very few) voice(s) and the low frequency tones in the background, and no startling or obnoxious sound effects. I don't hail Mary for I too I'm blessed among women, God has seen me through some tough times, I've felt helpless and hopeless for a long time, and just when I wanted to give up, He blessed my womb with twin boys and I must say that changed my life, I've had pain and I just wanted something that brought me back to God. I started with listening to Classical music, and ended up here and I must say my mind just stopped being busy and thought about God, and God only...Thank you. I found my path again. God works in mysterious ways.
