I love the sound of this challenge. I was glad to hear you say we don't HAVE to read off our own bookshelves and can use the library. Because at first I wasn't sure I could do this. However, I plan to try to stick to my own bookshelf. But, if I can't find something for one month, I'll use the library.

Yes, I know some people don't have a lot of unread books so using the library is fine. I plan on using my shelves unless I can't fulfill a prompt with the books I have, then I'll look elsewhere.

EEEP!!! I'm so excited. This is like my jam. EEEP! I'm going to build a stack like I did this year because watching that go down was SOOOO fun and sharing what it was was also fun. However, I think I'll have to put a sticky note in the front so I can remember why it was that book for the month! LOL. You're going to love Stories That Bind Us. GREAT book. I keep forgetting that The Nature of Fragile Things is The SF Earthquake. The cover always makes me think of WWII. I'm building a Cloak & Dagger list right now, so off to figure out what'll be left after that! :D

I’m excited about this too! I haven’t done a book challenge like this one! Chantel, I haven’t read Stories that Bind, but I’ve read several by Susie Finkbeiner (sp?!) and I really enjoyed them a lot! I’ll be getting most of my books from our almost 3000 book library on my Kindle (I get most of them as Kindle Deals and we have a family account. My husband and 3 grown daughters all have Kindles on our Kindle account). Most of the hard copy books I own are Christian non-fiction. I’m so glad I found your BookTube channel!!! 😊❤

I love this!!! My son is thinking about joining me in this challenge for 2023 but we are switching it up. He is going to pick my book and I will pick his book each month. I think I might join in trying this challenge. Not for a reward or anything, but to have more ways of determining what to read for the year as I go. Fortunately, I already have a few books starting with "A" or "The" in my January TBR, so no worries about trying to make changes there. Just have to decide which one to count... and then I'll have to determine my books to bring to college for until May since I won't be able to access most of my books until the end of that month...

Always so excited for this challenge. I love that this year will have connected prompts. My goal is to not buy any new books to fit the prompts, and to try to read them all with my eyes instead of my ears. I think my favorite thing about your videos are the little edits from "edit Chantel" or "future, wiser Chantel". They make me LOL so much!! On another note...I am SOOOO excited about this year, because being newer to your channel, I can start from the BEGINNING of the challenge! And I printed these for some of my bookish friends and 4 kids!! I went to the library yesterday to pick up one book for their December book challenge and accidently came back with two stacks and a bag (ummmmm...options kids?). I too, have a problem and my TBR is only going to get bigger! This is going to be so fun!! Is it 2023 yet so we can start picking? I love this. I kind of feel like it forces a little mood reading within the prompt-parameters. I have almost completed 2022’s challenge, but I did not read them in order. Tell me to read a specific thing, and I will typically screech to a halt. I’m kinda stubborn that way.

This sounds like fun, though I'll have to modify the challenge because I don't have shelves of unread books. I think I'll do a read my library TBR challenge instead, using the same prompts though. I'm forever borrowing books and either renewing them multiple times or returning them and putting new holds on the same books. I currently have 52 books out and, clearly, I'm not going to be able to get to them all before their looming due dates. lol Especially if I prioritize books I buy over the poor malingering library books! Thanks for the accountability boost. 🙂
